When you read of depression, of the poetic injustice and the deep sorrow that plagues the mind, you’re bound to hear the word “tired” at least once.
It’s inevitable. Tiredness. They will describe to you the physical sense of their exhaustion, losing their will to get out of bed, unable to perform basic hygienic routines. They’ll tell you how they sleep from early in the evening into the afternoon, because they’re just so tired all the time. And then, they’ll tell you of the metaphorical sense. Of how their life is an endless cycle, repeating the same motions over and over again, how the monotony is exhausting in its security, how they don’t have that drive to move forward, to exist, to change and be better. When you read of depression, you will read of being tired. Midoriya Izuku knows this well.

Midoriya Izuku wants nothing more than to be the first quirkless hero. After failing the practical hero exam, he’s shocked when he receives a letter telling him that he has been offered a tentative position in the illustrious Class 1-A.

He’s been like this for three days. The first was running around the hospital, begging for someone to tell him what was going on. Why no one could see him and why he was feeling so detached. And then he saw himself in complete disarray. Clothes ruined either from the building falling through or from the EMTs cutting his shirt. He’d followed them, unknowing of what they were saying to the doctors and nurses as they rushed him through the hospital and burst through large double doors. He followed and watched his body in horror as they prepared himself for emergency surgery.
A nurse had leaned over him - someone he thinks watched the monitors and reported any change - and whispered right in his ear: "Alright, baby, here’s a secret for you. You control this whole thing. Or more formally, it’s the month of “Nedzu’s Seriously Sadistic Shenanigans.” The month when the psychotic rat gets bored with the peace and tranquility of UA and decides to ruin people’s lives as entertainment. And thanks to a small mistake, Nedzu is personally out to get Aizawa and his class of innocent first years this time.
For this year’s dose of sadism, Nedzu engages in a heroics class swap; where UA’s class 1-B and Vlad have swapped schools for the month with class 1-B of the pretentious Kotogotoshii High and their homeroom teacher. This just leaves 1-A to deal with the temporary additions to the hero course, but after just one week, class 1-A want these interlopers OUT and they’ll do anything to get rid of them.*Now with illustrations!*

“Oh?” All Might responds in a teasing voice that has just enough edge to it that the students know a fight be brewin’ on the other side of the door. “And how do you figure that, Aizawa-kun?”
“Maybe from the fact that he’s in my homeroom class?” Aizawa challenged, to which a faint tsk could be heard from All Might.
“I gave young Midoriya his power!” All Might challenged.
“Oh, yes, congratulations,” Aizawa drawled on sarcastically. “Just go ahead and pass on an immense, immeasurable power to a literal child and then let him take the biggest exam of his life with little to no explanation because - well,” he scoffed, “if he can do a few community service hours lifting junk off a beach, then obviously breaking all the bones in both his legs and one arm will be a snap!”

TL;DR: A crackfic where Aizawa and All Might argue about who's got more of a right to be a parent to Midoriya (who's dying of embarrassment in the back corner).

Izuku burst into waterworks with his words. Fortunately for Aizawa he had a handkerchief at his pockets. He handed it over Izuku's cold and pale hands.

Aizawa figures out some things about his Problem Child, but he doesn't react to the story of Izuku Midoriya's past in quite the way anyone would expect. This isn't Bakugo Faces Consequences, or Aldera Faces Consequences, but there are definitely a few people who are going to be facing consequences... oh yes.

"As you can see, me appointing you as principal is the only logical decision available,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Or: Nezu goes on a week long business trip and makes Aizawa the temporary principal while he's gone, giving him all the powers the principal of UA would normally have. Aizawa, prepared to use this power to it's full capacity, silently vows to make as many changes to UA as he can in a single week. He appoints Midoriya as his secretary for the time being and together they wreak havoc among the school, showing no mercy to any obstacle in their path (And maybe becoming father and son along the way). The rest of the staff and students are left to sit back and watch as everything they know goes up in flames.
