Summary
Byun Euijoo deals with emergencies day in and day out. After all, that IS the job of a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Car crashes, broken bones, lost children, you name it- he's heard it. Seven years on the job has pretty much desensitized him to many of the world's horrors. He has stability and that's all he needs, or so he thinks, until one call hits too close to home and introduces the biggest threat to his stability: a handsome firefighter paramedic.

Summary
There wasn’t much use in categorizing most things in life, Yeonjun figured. What was good could always turn bad, what was bad could always turn around and become good. Something about silver linings. Something about lemons and lemonade. Something about disguised blessings. Et cetera.
Beomgyu flipped the waffle maker as he squirted a bit of the canned whipped cream onto his scarred finger, eating it happily before properly topping one of the cooling waffles with a quick, even spread. He was four years old once again for a fleeting, shining, beautiful moment in Yeonjun’s eyes: bright-eyed and puffy-cheeked, bouncing on his heels with his small fists clenched into their mother’s long pleated skirt as he begged her for extra whipped cream on his waffles.
He doesn’t know yet that if he falls, it will hurt.
(Or: Time is often merciless and cruel, but there are still some moments that Yeonjun reveres as Timeless. This is just a small handful of them, broken gears of a clock, perfectly preserved. A dusty time capsule for the heart.

Instead, he gets funky, context-less photos of Minhee’s day to day. She holds his hand under the table. She calls him “baby” and denies being his girlfriend, even if they were just kissing. It’s dangerous for Chan, who has a condition called being a pathetic man.
They go out, not fancy dates or anything. Minhee doesn’t seem to care about that. They get drinks, late night street food, bad movie marathons at his place where she falls asleep on his chest halfway through, quiet hang outs at the apartment she shares with Jisu. It’s comfortable. Easy. Nice.
Jisu is around, naturally. She’s always around. And Chan doesn’t really mind it. He doesn’t mind seeing her around the apartment when Minhee invites him over, nor when she drops Minhee off. He doesn’t mind how she sometimes crashes their dates and joins them on outings.

Seungmin knew how to relax against the sheets, knew exactly how much men loved the little whines that left his lips as they ravaged his mouth, how he shivered as their hands swept up, under his sweaters.
It was like a well orchestrated dance, one that all of Seungmin’s partners somehow knew the exact steps to. Seungmin could feel himself getting hard - perhaps from Minho’s tongue licking stripes over his nipples, or perhaps from the anticipation of how this dance would conclude.

Jisung snaps a photo of him and sends it to Changbin in the group chat with hysterical laughs. Flips his phone to show it to him with a hand grabbing his belly as it contacts with giggles. In the picture, Chan’s face is snow-white and his eyes are horrifyingly, unmistakably full of love. Jisung laughs so hard he falls backwards. Chan has to fight the urge to climb on top of him and kiss the smile off his lips.
It would be easy. Maybe Jisung would like it. Sometimes Chan thinks all Jisung needs to love is to feel that he is loved. Would it be a form of manipulation? Chan has so much of it inside of him and doesn’t know what to do with it. Paralyzed by the force of it. So he lays on his back and closes his eyes, and hopes the sun doesn’t burn him.

Jeongin runs a hand through his hair taking a long drag. He turns to Hyunjin on his exhale. “My life is fucking boring, man. It sucks.” He laughs again, the sound echoing against concrete.
“How do you mean?” Hyunjin asks, tilting his head a bit to one side. He’s got his hair tied back— a short ponytail at the nape of his neck, but a lock of it falls free, hanging over his cheek.
Once Jeongin starts he can’t stop— his heart moving as fast as his tongue, energy pent up behind his ribs. “My best friend is busy all the fucking time since he got a boyfriend, and I’m stuck working in this dead end job with shit hours— no offense— and I haven’t had sex in at least three months. Three, Hyunjin.”
Hyunjin stands up a bit straighter, folding his arms across his chest. He takes a deep breath, looking Jeongin in the eye. “Okay. Fuck it. Where’s somewhere you’ve always wanted to go?”
(OR: Jeongin runs away with his coworker, and the rest comes as naturally as it can for someone with control issues.)
