You've always had strange eyes. It's something that people often comment on or say to your face, "Your eyes are off." Yeah. You know.
And it's not the color or the shape or anything else specific that they can name, but you know what it is. It's not something they can see. It's what you can see, but they can't.
You can see ghosts.
Simple as that.
You see them as clear as the people walking in the streets and hear them as crisp as the songs you hear on the radio.
Ghosts, to you, are many things. They can be people who used to be alive, sure, but not always. Sometimes it's a tree that used to be in the park or someone's front yard. Sometimes a ghost is the sound of an extinct bird. A ghost can be a lot of things. A memory, a daydream, a secret. Grief, anger, guilt, resentment, joy, youth, nostalgia, love... But in your experience? Most times they're just what we want to see. Most times, a ghost is a wish. A wish that was never granted, and usually never will.
You see them as distinctively as the living.
Perhaps that's why you got into this situation in the first place.

I got inspired by “Weird World” by Outrage_A (Demonic_Loneliness0000) and having Macaque be disguised as a cat, however I looked at the fic and said “not enough angst, guess I’ll do it myself.” And that’s why I wrote this. Y/N never really had the best of luck but this? This takes the cake. Being sucked into a mediocre dating sim was bad enough. But the characters aren't even acting right. What the hell are the 'sanity' and 'danger' rating settings even being used for?

Being a mom to a newborn was hard enough. Especially if their father was the freaking Geo Archon.
Unfortunately, two of my other children are involved in a conflict with each other and other forces that would destroy the heavens and drag the rest of the world into the conflict of flames while the third tries to desperately stop them all the while trying to figure out the truth of the world.
And if I want my newborn son to grow up in a world free from conflict and war, then I will have no choice but to take up my own blades and discover the truth of this world alongside my third child.
