Five.Thunder shakes the soil they’re in as if it was an earthquake, and Tommy notes the tiniest, smallest, most subtle of flinches the soldier tries to withhold within his armor.
As small as it is, something easy to miss, Tommy doesn’t.

Summary
King Philza of the Antarctic Empire had two sons.
Prince Technoblade, the eldest of the two, was originally meant to be King but had chosen to become a knight instead.
And Prince Wilbur also chose against becoming King. He wanted to become a musician, and had chosen against learning his royal duties from a young age, instead enhancing his skills with a guitar.Although Techno was a great knight, and Wilbur was an amazing musician, the Antarctic Empire was left without an heir to the throne.
Until Tommy was born into the kingdom's life.
However, the queen died giving birth to Tommy, meaning he never got to meet his mother. The kingdom was both overjoyed and devastated at the loss and gain.
But rest assured, King Phil would make sure Tommy became King.
He was the Empire's last hope.
Even if that meant forcing Tommy into doing something he hated.
And you already know that Bigman Tommyinnit doesn't like being told to do things he doesn't like.

“Are you okay, Phil?” Asked his guard and best friend of 4 years, Technoblade.
“What do you mean?” Phil replied, cocking his head slightly to the side.
“Well, I mean, with all the proceedings and ceremonies and stuff, you must be pretty nervous, huh?” Techno says, fiddling with his thumbs.
“Why would I be nervous, Tech? This is…. This is my life’s worth. It’s- it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.” Phil said, and then again, head tilted downwards, as if trying to convince himself, “It’s everything I’ve ever wanted.”

Summary
Technoblade was always fascinated with knights. The way their armour gleamed, the colors reflected off of it. Their swords, the skill in which they were wielded.
The respect that came with the role. He longed to feel that, to feel like he mattered.
But he couldn’t become a knight, not a true one. He’s a peasant, through and through, a by product of a corrupt system. He’s forced to stay as a (thankfully literate) blacksmith’s apprentice, though he doesn’t actually do much other than the heavy lifting.
Eventually, he finds a (slightly bloody and majorly damaged) suit of armor near an injured horse and decides that he can be a knight. No one will know he’s not a real knight, and he can compete in the competitions just like the other knights do.
So he does.
He becomes a knight.

There was a light coming from the Knights' quarters, warm and inviting, with music and laughter audible from within. He stopped for a few seconds and admired the shadows passing through the windows, showing him a reality so different from his own, full of color, light, beautiful, and loud sounds. He wished he had that.
But alas, he wasn't there for that. He was there for other things. He had other plans and, especially, a gift to give.

"I wonder if he is looking up at the sky right now. I wonder if he is thinking of me. I wonder if our stars are the same.", he whispers and Punz glances at him before he raises his hand, too. He pushes it up until their fingers touch. "Well", he starts," I believe some of our stars will always be the same. "He intertwines their fingers. "They will mark our beginning," and he lowers their hands back down to the dust-ridden floor," and they will mark our bitter end."
