After finishing a solo job, Kaoru was walking home to his apartment he shared with Rei. Looking up at the night sky scattered with stars, he let out a deep sigh, ready to go home and plop down onto his bed.
Then, as he walked past an alleyway, he saw a flash of red hair. Backtracking quickly, his eyes widened at the sight in front of him.

The blood slowly dissipates, leaving only the memory of the sting in place. “After all, no one wants to see the handsome Mr. Sunday crying, now do they?”

For a person who’s so good at reading others, he is not very good at reading himself. Not all the time at least. He pondered a bit more on all the small instances when the magenta irises were on him, the tone of speech too forward, too teasing. He closed his eyes with a huff, the crease on his forehead becoming more distinctive. He took another sip of the wine, thinking it was best to just brush it off as Aventurine’s ploy to rile him up. Surely, the IPC wants something from him, and seeing Sunday lose his composure would be great blackmail to hold above his head to make him cooperate. After all, no one has ever seen Sunday vulnerable. Vulnerability was a forbidden state for Sunday to be in.
– “We meet again, Mr. Sunday~! Is this seat taken~?” The sultry voice of Aventurine made Sunday’s brows stop furrowing and his golden eyes to look up. Citrine eyes meet the vibrant pink and blue gaze. The eyes that were an indication of Aventurine’s origin. Sunday found himself to be somewhat drawn to their vibrancy. They reminded him of the colorfulness of a bismuth.

Summary

He met Tsukasa along the way, and through a magical accident, an enchanted spell was triggered. Like a sudden wind blowing away, Kaoru's soul was separated into five different fragments, each representing a part of himself. In order to bring Kaoru back to consciousness again, Rei has to set out to search for all the scattered shards along with the help of other comrades. Maybe it is destiny or maybe it is only a coincidence, the two seemed to be always connected and find their way towards each other. Intertwined by a breeze of fate, will Rei be able to reverse the spell on Kaoru?
