Summary
Damian's eighteenth birthday is a pretty quiet affair. Just family, a couple of his friends from school, a couple of his super friends. Dick drives up from Bludhaven with a gift. All through dinner, through cake and gifts, all eyes are on Damian. His family's more than others. Bruce watches him with a hooded gaze. Jason like a cat watching a mouse. Tim hovers close, hungry. But Damian gravitates toward Dick. Lets Dick ruffle his hair and pull him against his side and kiss his cheek. None of the other guests think anything of it. Dick's always been open with his affection. Damian tolerates it.
So when the party is over and the guests leave, it's Dick he lets trail after him to his bedroom.
