2. He’s bleeding. From somewhere. He’s not sure of where that is, exactly (something that, when you really think about it, is a whole problem in and of itself);
3. The guy he was going after still has a knife, and is still very much free and not trying to balance themselves twenty feet above the ground, which immediately gives them some sort of sick and totally unfair advantage;
4. He forgot where he left his backpack, and Quackity’s gonna fucking kill him if he loses another one;

Summary
The following story is an adaptation of the scripts of 4 streams intended for production on the Dream SMP. Due to all 4 scripts being written before Ranboo’s death it is best to take this story as being in it’s own timeline that is respective of the character of Wilbur Soot. The actors have signed off that the actions taken by the characters in this story are accurate and representative. It is up to audience interpretation which timeline is canon to the greater storyline. For all future lore based around Wilbur, this is canon.

“Technoblade said you were dead,” he manages.
“Uh, yeah,” Ranboo says, gesturing to the slash across his chest with a free hand. Oh fucking gods, that’s deep. It’s deep and spilling red and green in thick rivulets down Ranboo’s chest and it’s dripping onto Michael’s head, oh fucking gods. Tubbo’s seen a lot of gory shit - the sloppy remains of his face when he looked in the mirror the first time post-firework, tended to the half-healed aftermath of the meeting between Quackity’s face and the Axe of Peace - but this is somehow worse. This is worse than all of it. “Felt that was - felt that was a little obvious, but… yes! Hello! I’m dead.”-
Tubbo has had a complicated relationship with family, over the years. Best friends and brother figures - they don't tend to stick around, for better or for worse. He probably should have figured out the pattern before Ranboo died, but he didn't, and now he's left to pick up the pieces.

The Syndicate finds out about Snowchester and they deem Ranboo a betrayer of their cause, killing him and his son in front of Tubbo, who they leave with a promise to come back and destroy him and the government he’s created in one fell swoop.
Tubbo, with his best friend dead in prison and his family killed by the very people coming to kill him, has nothing to lose. And that makes him dangerous.

“Oh, great, the government’s finally caught me,” Schlatt says, rolling his eyes and moving to shut the door on them anyways. “And then they sent two babies to hunt me down. Bye, have a nice day.”
“Wait!” Tommy sticks his foot out at the same time Tubbo throws a hand out, and the door stops a few inches from closing. Tubbo’s throat is raw as he says: “I’m your son!”

“I would nuke someone for you,” Tubbo says plainly with all the confidence in the world. Because he has. He’s done it before and he would do it again in an instant — a thousand times over.
It strikes him with a sudden gripping fury. He needs Ranboo to know. He needs Ranboo to know it like Tubbo knows it, deep and intrinsic. Utter truth.
“That’s… nice?” Ranboo says, hesitant, cautious, nervous.
“Your face is nice,” Tubbo spits, because that’s also the truth.
“Thank you?” Ranboo’s voice pitches up into incredulity.
Ranboo doesn’t get it. And Tubbo desperately tries to convince himself that that’s alright. He will soon. It’s a work in progress.

"You're sure you want me to live here?"
Tubbo frowns. "Why wouldn't I?"
"Well, I mean, we're... We're not exactly friends."
Tubbo's hand - the bad one, the one that's mostly scar tissue - twitches, and Ranboo can sense that he's said something wrong. "Are we not?"

Ranboo and Tubbo go from barely friends to doting husbands in a matter of weeks, adopting a child and building a mansion somewhere along the way. Here are some of the moments in between.

Their faces are both blemish-free. Soft and smooth and free of any radiation burns like the one that scars the right side of Tubbo’s face in ugly discoloration, maul his hands into numbness. Summary
The night Tommy disappeared, it went like this:
Tubbo screamed the words that became his goodbye. He can’t accept that Tommy is gone, because that would be accepting that the last words they exchanged were angry and intended to hurt. So he doesn’t accept it. He’ll search for years if he has to.
Techno let Tommy leave without so much as trying to stop him. He’s replayed the memory of that night and wished he’d done anything else, until he thinks the guilt might be enough to destroy him. He thinks he might already be on his way there.
And Quackity can’t help but feel like this is all just a bitter echo. This town is cursed, and Tommy is only its latest victim.

“I promise you. I promise I’ll come back.”
He promises, George thinks wistfully. He promises such a thing- to offer George with his word on something, to uphold it. It’s as if he’s saying that he’ll give the world to him, just for him. But somewhere is the lingering thought in George's mind is that he won't come back. That the cruel war that had riddled their land will take him too, and he will be left aching and worry-worn. George shivers at the thought. Of a life without him.
“You promise?"
That you’ll come home to me?
And as if he heard those unspoken words. Dream beams at him.
“I promise. You won’t even notice that I was gone, my love.”
George lets out a wet and broken laugh at the overly romantic pet name that he associates with his beloved. Dream does so too, before pulling him back into his embrace.
They stay there for a bit. The war can wait.
“I promise I’ll be waiting.”
