Ink isn't quite sure why Template's so hung up about Error, but he also doesn't mind indulging Template with a little more time spent together.

Summary
Ink is forgetful, sure, but he remembers basic, necessary things, most of the time. So when Error finds him clueless, unable to remember how he got there or any of the people he interacted with, it's nothing short of a good opportunity. Ink knows where the Omega Timeline is, so Error can just go there and destroy it, right...?
Turns out, Ink's memory is still limited at best, which leads him and Error on a hunt for more clues about Ink's previous life in the Omega Timeline, revealing a side of Ink Error never knew about.
...All he needs is for Ink to never remember who they were to each other.

Ink and Error have maintained a friendship through thick and thin. Despite the regular battles that occur between everyone, and the bloody arguments that occur with each other. Even though Ink struggles with the reality of Error carelessly destroying the things he adores, even though Error finds trouble understanding Ink half the time. They love one another, wholly, but how much they're willing to express it is debatable.
After a moment's thought, something clicked. Furious and curious, the two now have to work out an unfamiliar concept with an equally unfamiliar companion.

It captured and killed every deviant it came across and did whatever was necessary to keep the investigation moving forward, ensured it went as smoothly as possible. It endured the foul moods and foul words of the humans it was meant to serve, and it suffered and even perished once from the hands of the man it was meant to assist. Yet, it wasn't enough.
He wasn't enough.
(This one-shot was written with the idea that Machine-Connor was successful in stopping the revolution. Upon hearing that he will be deactivated and replaced, he deviates and escapes across the border to find a new life for himself.)
