    I think about this fic a lot - can't believe I haven't bookmarked it. Absolutely top-tier writing and characterisation. Tim rescues Jason from a vat of death and gets truth-serumed. Bruce goes to therapy and is a very good autistic man who was raised by an emotionally-repressed Brit, trying his best.

    It's not the pain of it that makes him wish he had his helmet; truthfully, it barely stings. Goddamn Tim has hit him harder when they're rough housing. It's more the indignity of being bitch-smacked in the first place.

    "I mean. I know a pretty reliable way we could, uh. Wear ourselves out." In case Jason doesn't get it, Percy waggles his eyebrows in an extremely seductive and alluring way.

    Jason reels back. Percy can perfectly picture his startled stupid blink. "Sorry," he says. "Are you—propositioning me?"

    "I think you're the first person to use the word proposition in about a hundred years," Percy muses.

    "Here?" Jason gestures to their grimy surroundings. "Now?"

    "I was in the area," Percy says. He kicks a sneaker at Jason's boot. "Come on. What were you doing tonight anyway?"

    Jason sighs again, slower and controlled. "Running shit for Sofia," he says finally. "Keeping the city from falling into lawlessness. Getting catcalled by smartass should-be sleeping paramedics, apparently."

    Percy grins guilelessly. He is without guile. "Is it working?"

    Jason smacks his open palm against the helmet. "Jesus Christ."

    The Red Hood gets catcalled. It works out pretty well for them both.
