Chay is about to ask someone what’s going on when two policemen step through the door. Min suddenly reappears, rushing right to them and talking hurriedly and… and she’s pointing right at Chay.
“Officers,” Chay bows his head in polite greeting, but doesn’t let his eyes leave the pair of them. He tries to stand tall, the way Big has been teaching him to do, to not look intimidated. But he knows his fingers are twisting together in front of him as he asks, “Is there something wrong?”
The men look at each other. The one on the left, slightly taller, and who’s chest reads Port, frowns down at Chay sternly. “We’ve been made aware you’re in possession of a credit card that isn’t yours.”
OR: Chay is wrongly accused of stealing the Theerapanyakul credit card, and everyone involved comes to regret their life choices when Kim finds out about it.

There is a painful, swollen bite on his collarbone that hurts to touch.In-between the interview with Louis, Armand tells Daniel his story.

He could tear into this memory with his teeth, let the blood of its corpse seep into his mouth, and it still wouldn’t be enough to make up for bearing the burden of being the only one who remembers. “You didn’t. You never do. That’s your curse.”

Summary
The second Pete calls home from the diamond auction to report they’ve found Porsche, Chan can tell something bad is happening. “When are they coming back?” he demands. His skin is itching with the need to have Kinn behind bulletproof steel doors and a small but well-armed militia instead of out in the open.
“They’re not,” Pete says, and there’s that strained note in his voice that lets Chan know something else is happening. “Porsche puked. K’Kinn is cleaning him up.”
“He’s what?” Chan asks. Pete doesn’t answer, but Chan can feel his uncomfortable silence down the line. “For fuck’s sake.”
“Yessir,” Pete agrees. Chan checks his watch, a feeling like a stone settling in his gut. He doesn’t know why, but he doesn’t trust Kinn with this kid. He wants Porsche home safe so Chan can get him to medical and tear him a new asshole in the morning.

Or: Chan has more feelings on Kinn's bad behaviour than he would have expected, and for a lot longer than he would have guessed.

Summary
Vegas knows it’s not quite normal to value hedgehog life over human life, but the little guys just seem so much more important than the disposable ranks of bodyguards that surround him. They have little pink noses and tiny little claws, and Vegas is supposed to take good care of them, just like he’s supposed to take good care of Macau and Papa. The bodyguards are rude and smelly and dangerous, and they exist to make sure Vegas is safe, because Vegas is important and they are not.
Somehow Pete crosses the barrier from disposable human to precious hedgehog, and ends up on a very short list of human people Vegas cares about. Macau, some of the aunties at the minor family house, Porsche somehow (and by extension, Porchay), Kim. And at the top of the list, Pete.
Or: Pete is Vegas' most important person. Now he just has to figure out what to do with a most important person.
