Three days later Ed is splashing about in the bath that Stede had drawn for him, letting Stede braid his hair into a fancy crown when he mumbles, “Say. This might sound crazy, properly daft in fact, but- did you ask Izzy to let you watch us?”
“Er,” Stede says.
“Because I- I don’t know about that, mate. The things we do down below…don’t know as I want you to see them. Probably best left down there, yeah?”
Very gently, Stede pins Ed’s hair into place and then presses his fingertips in a fan along his scruffy cheeks, tipping his head back enough that Stede can kiss his forehead. “I disagree,” he murmurs. “In fact, I think it’s time to erase this separation, hm? No more above and below, in here or out there. I accept every part of you, Edward Teach, and that includes Blackbeard!”
“Hm,” is all Ed responds with.

Summary
The lookout spots the ship just after dawn: a little schooner sailing due east, flying Dutch colors and with a storm brewing in her wake. Waste of time, Izzy thinks, but Edward gets some wild fucking hair and decides to chase the fucking thing. All of Izzy's extremely valid points about the (very large) size of the storm and the (very small) size of the ship in question are roundly ignored in favor of a growled imprecation about his parentage and a backhand that knocks him halfway across the cabin, so he takes his smarting cheek and battered pride and limps up to the deck to order the pursuit.

Tonight, Martin is looking at porn. Jon knows that Martin is looking at porn. He doesn't know how he knows, but he does. He's fairly certain he isn't Beholding the knowledge. Martin's face is perfectly neutral, and his posture is relaxed. Even so, Jon just...senses it, somehow, the way an animal senses an approaching storm through minute variations in scent and barometric pressure. A change in the atmosphere is taking place, and that change is informing Jon’s subconscious mind that Martin is currently sexually aroused.
And then Jon decides, to hell with it. "So, uh, about the sex thing."
Martin blanches like Jon just accused him of murder. And slaps his phone screen-down onto his lap. Ah. That wasn't quite the reaction Jon was hoping for.
