“Yes, quite,” Bonnet says with his back to Izzy as he goes to his collection of liquors to pour himself a drink. “I trust you can appreciate the crew’s view on the necessity of the rope.”
Izzy rolls his eyes. It is, in its own way, a sign of respect that they view him dangerous enough to be forcibly subdued. “Oh, you mean this wasn’t your idea?”
Bonnet fills his glass about halfway full, and Izzy can hear amusement in his voice as he says, “Well, I certainly didn’t object, I simply deferred to their judgment on the matter.” When he turns, there’s a small smirk touching his lips.

Summary
Stede checks the injuries quickly and tries not to let his touch linger.
Izzy lets him, his face still framed by Ed’s hands. They stand like breathing statues, oddly quiet and absorbed in each other.
Stede feels a sudden surge of want at their display of devotion and trust, the silent rapport Ed and Izzy share that comes from years upon years of learning each other and being each other’s closest confidant.
How a single touch, a single word from Ed is enough to enrapture Izzy so entirely that he lets a stranger, a man he barely seems to tolerate half of the time, touch him so intimately, let himself be seen so vulnerable around.
Stede realizes he might be more invested in Izzy than he thought. He just is not sure if Izzy is similarly invested in him.

“Well…” Izzy raises an eyebrow and Stede withers a little. “You’re right, that’s true.”
Izzy picks up the brush again and pointedly sweeps another little puff of dust onto Stede’s lap.
“Yes, alright. Go on.”
“Aren’t you going to thank him for pointing that out, mate?” Ed calls from across the room. “You’d keep walking around with a dirty belt elsewise.”
“I–” Stede looks over at Ed, then back down. “I should, yes. Thank you, Izzy.”
“Good,” Izzy says, halfway to a purr, and something about it makes Stede’s back straighten a little more, makes his fingertips press into the arms of the chair.Izzy blacks Stede's boots. Stede learns a thing or two.

Ed sits, legs spread, and leans into Izzy’s space. “Open up.”
Izzy does as he’s told. Ed takes a long drag from his pipe and leans in, a thin plume of smoke escaping from his smirk. He grips Izzy’s chin, angling his face upwards, and then Ed’s lips are on his.
“Gotta inhale, Jizzy.” Izzy nearly lashes out at the sound of Jack’s voice. He doesn’t want Ed to pull away, though, so instead he draws the smoke from Ed’s mouth into his lungs, grinding down on Jack’s cock at an angle anyone else would find cruel. Jack just huffs out a laugh and bucks up to meet him.
Jack and Ed get Izzy high and blow his back out.
