The crew doesn’t say anything. They’re used to this. Tenna loves all of them— he says so often, loudly, usually mid-monologue— but he loves good camerawork more. The problem is; his favorite cameraman is gone. An older model. Kind of twitchy. Had a way of making even his breakdowns look cinematic. Every close-up, every reverse dolly— it knew how to capture Tenna’s “narrative arc” without needing to be told twice.
And now? “Loaned to another department for ‘cross-show synergy,’” someone had said.
Which was network speak for: Mettaton stole him.

So. There’d be no, like, veneer to it, sex with Steve; if Steve hurt him, it’d be with the transparent acknowledgment that that was the point, that Eddie wanted him to, no layers of setup or characterization to give any distance. Which is honestly so fucking vulnerable, in a way that’s hard to think about sometimes, but fuck if it doesn’t make Eddie’s toes curl.

It’s a Thursday afternoon when Steve finally decides that enough is enough.
It’s been weeks of this - this thing with Eddie, and Steve is over it. He’s over being distracted, and flustered, and embarrassed, and fucking…confused about everything when it comes to Eddie. He knows what his problem is. His poor brain is just fried, too many hits to the dome, and now it’s crushing on Eddie because it thinks that Eddie is a girl. And Steve knows - okay, he knows - that it isn’t true, but there’s still some deep and dark and hungry part of his mind that doesn’t buy it. That sees long hair, and pretty eyes, and a slender frame, and wants in a way that Steve knows he shouldn’t. He can’t.
And after mulling it over for a few hours, the solution seems clear.
Steve just needs to see Eddie’s dick.
