"No Troll left behind!" King Peppy hollered down the tunnel as he threw the large ball of trolls out of the way of the shovel breaking through the ground. When the shovel was removed, King Peppy rushed off in the direction of the rest of his people. He was running so fast that he didn't see a divot in the ground. He stumbled over it and almost fell. He popped back up feeling lighter and ran off towards his people.
A small trolling that was just safely nestled in her father's hair was suddenly on the dirty ground. She let out a loud cry.
A small form rushed up to her. “We have to be quiet, Poppy. Your dad will be back soon.”

Summary
As Branch attempted to push past Bruce's grasp, a wave of dizziness washed over him, his vision swimming with dark spots. He stumbled backward, his legs feeling like they were made of lead, each step heavier than the last. The room spun around him, voices blending into a cacophony of noise that pounded in his ears.
"Branch, what's wrong?" John’s voice cut through the haze, laced with concern.
He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out as darkness closed in around him, a cold embrace that threatened to engulf him whole. With one final attempt to stay upright, Branch's strength gave out completely, and he collapsed to the floor in a heap, unconsciousness threatening to claim him before he could utter another word.
Or
Branch finds himself sick, prompting his (stubborn) brothers to insist on helping out, bringing back bittersweet memories.

One troll in particular surprises everyone with just how much he's being weighed down, and they all quickly rally together to become the support group he needed all along.

Then he raises the hand he’s holding up to his face, pressed to his lips and nothing more, not even a kissy sound or anything. Just a pressure and a warmth, then her hand is lowered, and he smiles with a reassuring, “There. All better.”
That feeling gets bigger, spilling out like her drink, all warm and thick and terribly sweet like syrup. It works its way into her muscles and bones, making her feel slow and heavy in a way she’s never felt in the morning. Mornings were meant to be sparked alive, to embrace the rising sun, to be up and active and free. Here, with his hand holding hers, she feels anchored, like no matter what comes her way, nothing will manage to sweep her away from this moment. Nothing will take her away from him.
She’s giggling, quite suddenly and probably sounding absolutely bonkers, which is normal enough for her.
