Summary

However, there’s now a new assassin who has begun their debut in the killing industry, and everyone involved has to face the fact that there's a strong possibility this assassin is Phoenix Wright, who vanished shortly after failing to save Ms. Andrews in court.
Now that he's making a name for himself as a professional killer for reasons unknown, Edgeworth and Franziska have taken it upon themselves to stop him from taking any more lives. But relationships will be tested and difficult choices will need to be made.

Summary
Miles Edgeworth is dead, as far as anyone can tell. There's a resignation note in his office, a suicide note on his dining room table, and a red sports car abandoned at the base of Eagle Mountain; they've no body, but they don't usually recover those from the river, anyways.
But when Phoenix asks Maya to channel his spirit, to no avail, questions are raised. And, logically, the only answer is for them to go on a (literally) soul-searching road trip across Europe to find him.

Franziska considers the utter foolishness of her brother for a moment. She has nothing to bring to court in Germany until the New Year, drunken fools in holding aside. She knows her father’s prosecuting style better than anyone who isn’t the defendant in the case at trial, strange Christmas occurrences or not.
Most importantly: not once in her life has she ever obeyed a direct command from Miles Edgeworth.
She steels herself. She is a von Karma, after all, and she will throw herself under a moving train before she admits defeat. “You foolish fool. I will be in Los Angeles at three.”
or: franziska von karma turns up during turnabout goodbyes, as is her god-given right—just in time to watch her family fall apart.
