Seven years have passed since the end of the Second Wizarding War, and with the world turning a little brighter in the aftermath, the wizarding world has grown a little closer. Mahoutokoro might be the logical school of choice if you live in Japan, and Uagadou if you live anywhere in Africa, but if Hogwarts just so happens to have a more intriguing curriculum, why not go there instead, now that they actually accept students from outside the UK and Ireland?
Well, frankly, Ludmila and Ilia had little choice but to send Viktor there just in time for his sixth year of education. With a dark wizard, or several of them, on their heels, there really had been no other option than to flee from Russia, settling down in a flat in London's West End instead, with top-rated aurors on the case and a chandelier the size of the moon in the living room.
With worry gnawing in the back of his mind and his heart attempting to hammer itself through his rib-cage, Viktor plunges himself into studies, Quidditch, too many towers, friendship, and... wait, who's that guy with black hair and glasses that suddenly set the world aflame by breathing in his general direction?

Am I dirty for wanting such things: the heat of your body and the taste of your mouth?" Viktor let a soft breath ghost over Katsuki's cheek and felt him shudder. "Then so be it."

Summary
Not just friends but also not lovers. Yuuri and Viktor share a bond so deep that no words can adequately describe it. And so they turn to express their love in the languages they know best.
However, ever since they started high school, Yuuri feels Viktor is becoming way out of reach. He is always in the spotlight and surrounded by many people, and with Viktor's big plans after graduation, Yuuri is going to have to find a way to stay close to him.
This story is an AU where Yuuri is a dancer, and Viktor is a composer, and where both of them refuse to admit that they love each other using the most straightforward way: speaking it out loud.

And it was then that he realized that love wasn’t the warm, soft feeling that he had been fooled into believing it was. Love was an awful, terrible feeling. A monster that curled up deep in his belly and clawed its way up his throat, tearing him up on the inside until he wasn’t sure where he ended and where Victor began. Left him mangled into a terrible abomination of parts that couldn’t function independently, anymore. He wanted Victor to swallow him whole. To chew him up and swallow every part of him until he didn’t have to be away from him, ever again.
He felt hollow. So thoroughly carved from the inside out that there was nothing left but empty spaces for Victor to fill. And it was horrible, painful, dreadful, and it was love.
(Or, a Princess Mononoke AU in which Victor is the god of the forest that surrounds Hasetsu who decides to teach Yuuri everything he knows and Yuuri may or may not fall in love along the way)

Yuuri doubles over in laughter, effectively cutting off the man next to him. Victor looks down at the sticky countertop with red cheeks. “No, wait,” he gasps. “I’m s--sorry. I’m not laughing at you, I swear.” Yuuri wipes at his eyes before continuing. “It’s just, I’ve been asked to go home with so many sleazy old men tonight and the one man I would actually go home with just asked me to get out of here for milkshakes. I was just surprised, is all,”

March 20, 2023: CURRENTLY BEING REWRITTEN. This fic will stay up until the new version is published for sure, and possibly afterwards, but now that I have more experience and a better handle on managing narratives I'm hoping to retell it as it's meant to be told.

The set of Yuuri’s mouth softened into a private smile as Victor squeezed his knee beneath the table. His hands were bare, free from the gloves he so often wore when they were together on the rink, and the heat of his palm burned straight through the denim of Yuuri’s jeans. He slipped his own hand beneath the table and found Victor’s. Hidden from sight, their fingers began to flirt and play. A secret conversation all their own that needed no words.
Yuuri was aware that at some point—a moment in time he couldn’t quite place—Victor had become his boyfriend.
There wasn’t a single instant when it happened. It was a slow awareness, as if Victor had silently been asking the question for months now, and Yuuri had been giving him the answer a little more with each passing day.

Summary
When Minako, the sightseer of the Elk clan, tells Yuuri of her vision, he doesn't know what to make of it. But he knows it must be important.
Once she returns from her travels, he learns that another seer from another great clan has shared her vision, and that this can only mean one thing: their clans are to be united, and Yuuri is to be part of it.
He is to bond with a hunter of the Bear clan.
While frustrated that he is being thrust onto a path so very different from the life he had envisioned for himself, Yuuri is made to accept that this union is the will of the spirits. He will go through with it for the sake of the people he loves, even if it means giving up every last part of himself.
To make matters worse, his mate-to-be is the most renowned hunter the winter lands have ever seen, and someone Yuuri has admired for a long time.
However, from the moment they meet, Yuuri slowly realises that there is much more to Victor than he has imagined, and that perhaps the will of the spirits is more closely aligned with his own than he previously thought...
