Mira should slow down, put her foot on the brake, ease off the gas. She’s usually more focused than this, more cautious, more in control. But her focus was off, instead of the road, her mind was on the other woman in her car.
Zoey in the passenger seat, laughing at her own joke, Rumi in the back, laughing right with her. Like it was just a normal night, like nothing was about to change.

Rumi laughed, watching as Mira steadied herself. She held the door open for Mira, “what you don’t want to keep running into me at night?” Rumi gasped in mock offense. There was something about the taller girl that made Rumi loosen up, Zoey had a similar effect on her.
Mira leaned closer to Rumi, as she crutched past her into the bathroom, voice dropping slightly, “never.” Her eyes tracing over Rumi’s figure clad only in a towel that barely reached the top of her thighs. Eyes lingering on Rumi’s tattoo for a second longer.
Rumi flushed, her cheeks burning under Mira’s intense gaze. She turned away looking towards Mira’s and Zoey’s room. Mira had left the door wide open.
Rumi made direct eye contact with Zoey, who was staring at Rumi. Eyes also tracing over the purple haired girl's body. Gaze intense as she took in all of Rumi.
Rumi squeaked. If she wasn’t already blushing she would be now.

"Oh, I see, I see, but that is my job, girl. I see your mother’s fine intellect, a thirst for truth that would lead you straight toward Ravenclaw. But I see more. I see a fierce loyalty, almost... primordial. And I see ambition. The ambition to succeed where others fail.”
A part of her began to feel annoyed, not appreciating that intrusion. The Hat seemed to flinch.
“Alright, alright, I understand. But don't be like that. I know where to put you… Yes… it better be…”

“I want Mira to knot you.”
The spoon in Mira’s hand slipped and clattered against the porcelain bowl. Beside her, Rumi nearly choked on a mouthful of soggy cereal, coughing as her face turned crimson in less than two seconds.
They both stared at Zoey. Rumi’s wide eyes made her look like a startled owl, her cheeks burning. Mira looked a little more composed, but the request had clearly blindsided her too. Neither of them spoke.
Zoey, still focused on shoveling cereal into her mouth, didn’t notice right away. The words had tumbled out between bites, almost like an afterthought. It wasn’t until she felt the silence stretching around her that she paused, spoon halfway to her lips.
“What?” she asked, blinking at them. “Last time I couldn’t get a good look at it.”
A strangled sound escaped Rumi’s throat, her face somehow managing to grow even redder.
