Summary
In the show's pilot episode, Danny gets shot in the arm. He naturally blames Steve and insists he should apologize. When Steve eventually says he's sorry, Danny, with one of the greatest lines in the entire series, replies, “Your apology is noted. Acceptance is pending.” This is the story of Danny finally accepting Steve's apology, which opens the way for a discussion of other things.

“Love is telling someone to go to hell and then worrying about them getting there safely.” Just a short little scene. Steve has done something obviously stupid, and Danny is not at all happy about it. I'm putting this somewhere early in the timeline of my "It's About Damn Time" universe; however, the story can easily stand alone.

Poor Grace ... having a "hot" dad and stepfather is the bane of her teenage years. When she has a sleepover with some classmates so they can work on a school assignment, the last thing she wants is for the teasing about how "hot" her dads are to start again, so she has one rule: The men of the house must keep their shirts on at all times. Oh well, we all know how often good plans go awry.

After the death of his mother, Steve can't bear another loss, so he decides Danny should retire from Five-0. Danny knows Steve hasn't been handling Doris' death very well, but he also knows retirement isn't the only thing he and Steve need to talk. Tonight they are going to talk about everything, including the elephant in the room.

Someone is texting Danny pick-up lines from an unknown number. Obviously, it's some poor schmuck who thinks he's texting a woman he met in a bar. Or is it? Could the messages have been meant for Danny all along? A bit of McDanno getting together fluff.

A Season 9 fix-it story because who are we kidding, no one could possibly think it's a good idea for Danny and Rachel to get back together. Right? So, alas, this is my attempt, with a whole lot of help from Grace, to make Danny see what the rest of us already know.

Tani decides to Google Five-0. What she discovered, a girl just can't unsee.
"Were you looking at porn or pictures of naked men or something?” Junior joked. "Is that why you slammed your computer shut before I could see what was on the screen? "
Tani blushed. "Not naked exactly, just shirtless. And not just any men, McGarrett and Danny."
"What!? Who!?"
"Commander McGarrett and Detective Williams," she repeated.

Steve and Danny get the results of their DNA heritage testing kits and the results are surprising. Steve, being Steve, is not going to let them go without comment. Mostly dialogue. Just a bit a nonsense because I wanted to write something quick and fun.

Summary
Predictably, Danny wasn't happy when Steve decided to run back into the path of the fire set by escaped serial arsonist/murderer Jason Duclair in Season 08, Episode 01, while he and the others helplessly waited in the cabin for rescue. A little angst with the bonus of a domestic McDanno coda to the episode.

During dinner with the team, Danny challenges Steve to a one-on-one game of basketball. Kono, of course, is hoping it will be "shirts versus skins" or, better yet, "skins vs skins." Will she get her wish? Will the shirts come off? Total fluff. Established McDanno.

Summary
Danny and Steve are arguing (more accurately Danny is ranting at Steve for his reckless behavior) and Tani overhears. Confused by what sounded like them playing some weird medieval version of Mad Libs, she decides to find out what's going and in the process gives Steve and Danny just the push they need to admit their feelings. Or, the one in which Danny and Steve have learned some new words. After the angst of the last few Season 9 episodes, I thought a little McDanno fluff was in order.

Summary
When Steve decides to make up for all the Christmases Nahele has missed, he learns that being a father is more than just playing Santa Claus. Fluff with emotions. A Steve/Nahele – father/son story. Although Danny is not in this story, he is mentioned several times. His and Steve’s relationship could be considered pre-slash if you squint just a little. (See story for notes regarding a different version of this fic that I'm posting on another site.)

Summary
Because a shirtless Danny deserves his time in the limelight, this story began with the self-prompt, “Danny, take your shirt off," after which Danny reluctantly unbuttoned his shirt, a very nice Hugo Boss dress shirt he’d gotten on sale the last time he was in New Jersey, and handed it to Steve. I really hope everyone enjoys the picture a shirtless Danny creates in your mind.

What is the matter with you? Danny has asked Steve that very question dozens of times over the years. This time it's different, Steve is hiding something and Danny wants to know what it is. Steve, of course, couldn't possibly be up to anything could he? Total fluff.
