Silence lingers for just a second too long before Ranpo smirks around his lollipop.
Sliding it out of his mouth with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he answers smoothly:
“A burlesque dancer.”
Atsushi chokes.

“Does professor Dazai ever respond to your emails?” Atsushi asks, half hoping Lucy won’t hear him so he doesn’t have to deal with whatever answer she gives.
“Yeah.” She doesn’t even pause. “Got a reply like an hour after I sent it.”
Atsushi freezes. “…Are you serious?”
“Mmhm.”
His eye twitches. He grips the edge of the table to keep himself from slamming his forehead into it.
“So just me, then?” he mutters. “Just me that he’s ignoring.”
Lucy finally glances up, unimpressed. “Probably.”
(or: With Atsushi’s professor refusing to answer any of his emails, the university student has no choice but to talk to the man after classes.)

"I promise you, you're going to be okay, just trust me, Atsushi-kun." He said again, as he ran his fingers down the cute face, once filled with warmth, worry, annoyance, adorance, now cold and…dead.
Lack and void of any sort of natural colour.
"Yup, just fine." He chuckled again, as he looked around the office he…borrowed from Mori, under the threat of exposing every single secret that the port mafia had.
Truly, taking this fine medical office away from Mori and claiming it for this good cause should be applauded, instead of looked down upon.
Besides, he knew that he could bring the boy back. He had to.
Atsushi had an insane healing ability. The fact that his heart stopped and wouldn't start back up no matter how many times he electrocuted him had nothing to do with the chances of his revival. Neither did the fact that epinephrine didn't help.

"See, Atsushi, was it really that hard?" His employer asked, his smile blazing with self satisfaction.
"No…" He supposed this mafia mission didn't feel nearly as dangerous as he imagined. Or they just happened to get lucky.
"Exactly! And now you can write a report for me!" Dazai said like a giddy child.
"I can write you a base for it…" Atsushi said slowly, dropping the hand from his face. "You'll just have to fill in the gaps."
"Atsushiii!" This time the man flung his arm over his shoulder. "You're a lifesaver!"
"I did pull you out of that river…"
"That was nothing in comparison to this!"Or
After a man he pulled out of the river a few days ago tells Atsushi he is the white tiger, he gets roped into working for him and the Port Mafia that is hunting said tiger. Every full moon Dazai prevents his transformation, and in exchange he has Atsushi work as his secretary, dealing with his extremely important paperwork that is not meant to be seen by someone that isn't a mafia executive.
Dazai only thought that keeping mafia's most wanted bounty under their nose would be entertaining, but the more time he spends with his secretary, the more reasons he finds to keep his secret.- Language:

Seungmin was pulled out of his work by a knock on his front door. Frowning in confusion, Seungmin waited a few more moments and sure enough, a second knock followed, confirming that there was indeed someone waiting outside his door.
And upon swinging open his front door, Seungmin came face to face with the same attractive stranger he met a week ago.
“You’re the guy from the bus stop…” Seungmin enunciated slowly as his brain went into overdrive in search of an explanation why the man- Hyunjin was in front of his apartment.
Hyunjin fidgeted in place, eyes averted to the floor before shyly presenting a small box to Seungmin.
Still utterly discombobulated, Seungmin moved on auto pilot and took the box from Hyunjin’s outstretched hand, opening it. Except that that only plummeted him into deeper confusion.
“Is this…a ring?”
“Well,” Hyunjin cleared his throat awkwardly. “I did some research and um…”
Hyunjin finally looked up to meet his eyes, cheeks still dusted pink.
“I thought we should get married in human customs too.”
One beat.
