After a tragic turn of events shattered the idyllic lives of Mary's group of friends, she left her hometown in Scotland in attempt to escape the guilt and trauma of her past. Now a successful wedding planner, she thinks she's put it all behind her, until her old friend-who-was-never-just-a-friend, Lily, reaches out via email with a request. She's getting married - again - and she wants Mary to plan the wedding. Mary should say no; the two of them have never been good for each other. But something keeps pulling her back into Lily's life, and the grief, secrets, and lies they've been trying to keep buried keep surfacing. Featuring minor (and chaotic) Wolfstar, the messiest lesbian plotlines I've devised yet, and Severus Snape having horrific taste in wedding cakes.

About ten years too late to this fandom, but i love the characters so much......pre-canon, canon-time & post-canon.
I'd like to think you don't need to know the canon that well, (or at all?) to enjoy it. Better still, go & watch. It's worth it.Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol - i heard this song & it crystallised everything i saw in these two.
