Summary
Robin knows Nancy better than anyone. Better than the kids, better than Jonathan or Steve ever did, maybe even better than Nancy knows herself sometimes.
Which is exactly why she knows something is very, very wrong.
Nancy barely sleeps. She flinches at sudden noises. She keeps disappearing halfway through conversations, eyes distant and haunted. And every time Robin asks about it, Nancy smiles too quickly and changes the subject.
Hawkins is supposed to be over. Robin’s starting to think Nancy never really made it out.

Summary
Stories about Ronance where desire doesn’t follow the usual script. Where one or both of them are asexual, and love isn’t measured by what’s missing, but by what’s there: trust, closeness, and the space to define things on their own terms. No boxes to check. No list to complete. Just them.

Summary
"I'll cry quieter."
"Or you can cry with me here," he says, still looking at the floor. "You don't have to talk about... whatever it is. But just... Jesus, Nance, you're not completely alone."
She exhales shakily, looking at him in the dim light of her nightlight. He looks so much older now, even older than he did a few weeks ago. Sharper. More tired. He even sounds older. Like he's lived five lives in his fifteen years.

Nancy Wheeler is in love with a girl. Mike Wheeler is in love with a boy. They're both more alike than they though, and they're both less alone than they thought, too.

Summary
Robin’s eyes begin to gloss over again. “You don’t think so?”
“No,” she breathes. “Not at all. It’s – it’s just love, you know? That should be okay.”
And for just a moment, it’s like they’re in their own little space. There isn’t mud soaking through her shoes or snot on Robin’s sleeve, or mosquitos flashing by her face.
“Yeah,” Robin says, rivaling Nancy’s breathlessness. “Just love.”

Summary
Maybe it’s because she spends the most time thinking about hers, but it seems to her that it cannot be defined by a singular set of words or feelings. It changes with the day, with the topic, with the person she’s talking to...
...Or about.
It’s only a bit later that Ava begins to notice that Beatrice’s voice conveys how she feels about others.
She has different cues and ticks for all of them, and Ava can’t help but love each one.
She hates the way Beatrice says her name.
