They were discussing their career interest forms today, but that was it. Nothing time-critical was supposed to be happening.
“Midoriya, you were reported missing a week ago. No one has seen you for eight days. The police have been combing the city for you.”
"I’m sorry. What?”
Midoriya Izuku went missing for a week and turned up in a back alleyway with skills he's never even heard of and no memory of how he came by them. He resigns himself to never learning the truth of what happened to him, but he shouldn't waste this chance should he? He could become a hero with reflexes like these.

The question snapped Jotaro out of a personal reverie. It was a hot summer afternoon, the air heavy with the promise of late afternoon rain. While it was likely pleasant outside, the humidity only served to make the small white room the two men were sharing feel increasingly claustrophobic. It had been burdened down further by an uncomfortable silence, thickened by hesitation and an unwillingness to break it.Jotaro had been desperate to find a way to distract himself from the tension and the heat, eager to find a way to avoid eye contact - no. Not just eye contact. Rather, it had been an aversion to look at the entire hospital bed itself, and the man resting within it. He had settled on playing with a well-loved silver lighter, igniting and extinguishing it with rapid flicks of his wrist. His sudden change in motion caused the flame in his hand to flicker gently, but did not go out.
