That shit was dangerous. Whatever this kid had been doing, it could've killed him. It still might. For a minute, Wilbur wrestled with his morals, but he knew it was useless. He was going to help this idiot at two in the morning after his mother's funeral.

He can feel discomfort flaring in his arms.
The pose he holds is becoming too difficult.
As he sits in a large crystal terrarium, open for all to see in the ballroom, Tommy wants nothing more than to just curl up and hide from the burning eyes of party goers.
But Tommy cannot do that. He cannot move, he cannot speak, he cannot do anything but hold his arms up and look pretty. The punishment would be far worse than this for doing so.
Bright blue hyacinths bloom from his arms and drape over his back and shoulders. Large bunches he grew earlier coat the mossy terrarium floor.
Dream wasn't very happy with the flower choice he grew, but he couldn't change it. Only able to scoff with the promise of a future punishment for after the party.

It was then that the pinching feeling disappeared from his wrist, the same one that was the sole contact between him and Phil.
“What were you doing?” He asked.
“Checking your pulse,” Phil replied.

“No one knows their real names,” the museum guide said. “Most people just call them ‘The Golden Warrior’ and ‘The Blood God’, though there are some who call this guy here-” he says, pointing at the man with pink hair- the Blood God- “Technoblade.”
Tommy stared at the painting a moment longer, studying it from top to bottom. He finally looked at the museum guide, frowning. “That’s a weird name.”
The museum guide frowned himself, looking at Tommy. But Tommy noticed that he had frowned in that exaggerated way his friend did sometimes where it meant he isn’t really upset. Just pretending. “That’s my name,” he said.
And since he didn't sound offended- not in a real way- and he didn't sound sad, Tommy just looked back to the painting. “It’s a weird name,” he doubled down.
Technoblade snorted.

Tommy gets lost on a school trip. It’s intentional at first, but when he can’t re-find his class, he starts to panic. He keeps passing by and stopping to look at this old painting that grabs his attention. Before he can wander off again to look for his class, a museum guide finds him. One who seems to know all about the painting that has Tommy so wrapped up.

But now Wilbur sat in the hotel room with Techno, and realized he was completely and utterly fucked.
Wilbur had a sleep problem. Not insomnia; Wilbur refused to acknowledge that possibility. He didn’t have fucking insomnia, he wasn’t a baby. Fuck that. He just couldn’t sleep sometimes. And when he did sleep, he was plagued with the worst nightmares. It wasn’t fucking insomnia, he just struggled to sleep. That was all.
It was part of the reason he always wanted to be alone when they stayed in a hotel. He didn’t need his team to know about this, didn’t want his team to know about this. Wilbur didn’t want to be seen as weak, didn’t want his team, his friends to watch him fall apart because of a stupid nightmare. Or worse, annoy them with his constant pacing as sleep eluded him.
OR
Wilbur Soot makes a grave error. His family is always there to help. And, maybe, Wilbur can realize he's loved.

Phil’s face morphs into a grin. Tommy doesn’t like the way his grin is matching the very mischievous gleam in his eye.
“We’re not making boxed mac and cheese.” Phil says ominously.
Tommy frowns. “What’re we making, then?”
Phil hums, ruffling Tommy’s hair kindly as he walks past him.
“Today, we’re making the real deal mac and cheese.” he responds reverently, shooting Tommy another strange look before opening the pantry door.
“The— what?”

It sounds less like he wants to, and more like he’s trying to convince himself that he has to.
“You could,” Wilbur says. He tries to sound indifferent. “But it’s not like I’m gonna kick you out or anything if you want to stay.”
Tommy looks at him. His eyes are blue, bright blue, a blue brighter than the sky when the sun beams down at noon. “I can stay?” He’s quiet, and hesitant, and that hurts more than the words themselves.
Or: A kid keeps showing up at Wilbur's cafe. Against his better judgement, Wilbur gets attached.
