Summary
Megatron hadn’t intended to offend the highest religious institution on Cybertron. Orain Pax hadn’t intended to acquire Megatron as a personal guard. Maybe Primus just hates them both.
Or maybe Megatron is the personal champion Orion needs to survive his new role as Prima’s disciple. Maybe Orion is the guiding light Megatron needs to keep his rage in check. Will their begrudging union grow into that of a Prime and Lord High Protector? Will they survive long enough to find out?
The divinity of the Matrix is NOT what everyone thinks it is.

Summary
After a less than pleasant squabble over a relic, the two faction leaders find themself in a new place, surrounded by new bots, in a old time. With their options lacking, they have to work together (Primus forbid). Or alternatively, they could commit premeditated murder. Stopping the war may be easier said than done, but Optimus will be damned if he doesn't at least try, even with a certain grey mech leering over him.
One tries to come to terms with old wounds, while the other is hellbent on dismissing them. What could go wrong?

Summary
He would die, they said. Cybertron only needed the Matrix to be whole again, and the only price was his own cessation. Optimus Prime didn't hesitate, didn’t mind, because four million years later his voice still remained. Low, deep, weary, always so weary—but kind, kind in the way they had once hoped the future to be, but never became.
And so the winds blew, and Primus slept on, never to wake. Beneath the blue reborn sky, petals fell and kept falling.
Away, away. Now and always.
____
Or, the fic where Optimus Prime is brought back after sacrificing the Matrix to revive Cybertron, doesn’t know Megatron is alive until he does.

Summary
TFP×IDW
[A smuggling case temporarily saved Megatron, who unexpectedly arrived in the IDW world. What terrible fact did he discover? How is the chain of benefits conveyed behind it formed?]A Space Bridge accident hurls Megatron out of a universe where the war has never ended, flinging him into another Cybertron—one still struggling to its feet after the wreckage of its own. There he comes face to face with a version of himself who has already set the fusion cannon aside, pinning an Autobot insignia where the Decepticon brand used to be. They are two identical mechs, and yet they stand at the opposite ends of a four-million-year fork in the road, forced at last to ask the same question: What did we start fighting for in the first place?
This is not a story that sets out to decide who was right. Nor is it a story about who was wrong. What it traces, rather, is how belief—once sharp enough to cut a new world into being—gets worn down in the grinding machinery of war. Twisted. Buried under tactics and casualties and the weight of choices that can never be unmade. But here is the thing about belief: it has a way of enduring. Forgotten, maybe. Never truly dead.
