Summary
That’s all dancing is, after all. It’s easier than breathing, yet the hardest thing he has ever done.
Harley starts the music, and all Peter has to do is breathe. He’s lifting up and sinking down and running and twirling around, and a minute into the piece, he’s forgotten about the pain in his ankle, about the misery that weighs him down. He almost forgets about Harley, but it’s hard to ignore his gaze, burning bright trails against Peter’s skin.
Peter faces the mirror in a lull in the music, stares wild-eyed at his own reflection, battered, bruised, broken, and beautiful. Harley said that when he dances he turns into an angel, and Peter sees it now, the otherworldly glow that dancing gives him.

"The others did as she said, jumping into the old truck, worn down with rust and dirt from years and years of overuse (the thing was old when the apocalypse started, much less now) and Harley was about to as well, but he hesitated. Movement caught his eye from behind the truck, and it caused him to slow, his curiosity beating out every other instinct in his body. A moment too late, he realized his first mistake. He should have sped up.
One moment, he's about to open the side door of the truck, and the next, his body is crashing to the ground, a dead weight jumping on top of him, knocking his rifle to the ground."

“That’s pretty creepy looking,” she stated, voice bland. Peter turned to see an archway of twisted tree branches, leading into the forest, bark bleaching as it traveled. “I dare you to go in.”
Peter goes into the forest. He walks for ten minutes, finds a pretty blond stranger, who says he needs to get out of the woods before sunset. Also, sunset is in about four days.

"They're looking for terrorists, not magazine publishers." Harley picks up the coffee cup, still scribbled with MJ's number. "Peter, I know that Flash hates you. He's going to replace me. The second I leave, he'll fire you because you are actually a threat to him, and then everything you've worked for will have lost its purpose. All those late nights, cancelled family trips, midnight taco runs, and drinks of coffee you hate but have on back up for me. All of it, out the window, and you're starting from scratch."
Peter's blanched looked is replaced by a delightful cherry red, one Harley most certainly doesn't find almost pleasant.
"So, Peter Parker, like it or not, your destiny is intertwined with mine. We're getting married."

“Like, the work he does,” Harley says. “It’s good, but not…like, he can catch a bus without blinking or hurting anyone and set it safely back on the ground.”
“Your point?”
"Its just...he could be so powerful. Why doesn't he fight bigger fights, when he could?""Well, I don't know, maybe he has things in his life that prevent him from doing that."
"Okay, but like—you have the ability to change the world. Do you try, or do you let people like Tony do it and just stop bank robbers and gangbangers?"
"You try to do both?"
"Well then, what do the police do? Sit around and eat donuts? They exist for a reason."
"It doesn't mean they don't need help, and Spider-Man does that."
"I just think if humans can stop humans, superhumans should maybe focus their time on what local law enforcement isn't capable of."
