Summary
Following a botched attempt to spy on Malfoy, Harry finds himself catapulted over 50 years into the past, landing squarely in the year 1943. Forced to attend Hogwarts and unwillingly sorted into Slytherin. Harry needs to play nice with Voldemort- no, Tom Riddle, who reigns over Slytherin House like a King, surrounded by his loyal followers.
Harry expects threats, attempts of manipulation, and even blatant attacks from the burgeoning Death Eaters when he refuses to conform and worship the ground Riddle walks on.
Harry does not expect the radio silence from Tom Riddle that he is given.
Until they duel during DADA.

“They - yes. Yeah, usually - usually couples exchange ties, and - you’re right. They shrink them down and it goes around your wrist.”
“Your left wrist.” she says.
“Your left wrist,” Sebastian confirms.
“Sort of like a posy ring, right? Like a declaration of the intent to propose. That’s what Poppy said.”
He nods. His ears are burning, suddenly.
“Right, like a - yes. And there’s a merging charm, too, to seal the ends together, so - yes. A - a posy ring.”
Her brow furrows thoughtfully. “What do you suppose was the original purpose of the sealing charm? And who figured out it could be used for something like this?”

In which the original character is a fellow Top Gun pilot, who decides to visit her friend in the middle of the night, because that's what friends do. Although friends shouldn't look at each other the way she is looking at Rooster and they also shoudln't really kiss, so maybe they aren't really friends.

Techno reached out with his gloved hand, throwing it to the ground and gripping his knife. The body fell onto the grass, leaving a small exclamation from the zombie as it was pinned.
“Wait!” a voice cried out. “Wait, wait, wait please!”
Techno stalled, watching the zombie move its mouth and form words.
He immediately did a scan and saw the green tint to the body’s skin and the dulled glossed-over eyes on his face. Techno felt no warmth underneath his leather glove and moved his eyes over to the zombie’s shoulder where the skin had been ripped open and was rotting.
“Hey- look, mister, I didn’t mean any harm- I’m trying to- to just-”
“How are you talking?” Techno asked what looked to him to be the reanimated body of a twelve-year-old boy. He had blonde hair, dirty with blood and soot, and the rest of his body was covered with the same stuff.
“Because I can fucking talk?” The boy questioned and then immediately doubled back. “Wait, I didn’t mean it like that! Mister, I’m sorry-”
“You’re dead,” Techno stated. “You are dead, right?”or
Uh, yeah, Tommy's dead. He's a zombie in a zombie apocalypse. But- but he can talk, I guess?

As the case progresses, you and Connor become closer, and you have to deal with feelings you thought you'd buried when it came to him. But right when you think you can have it all, shit hits the fan again, and Connor is in trouble.
If you don't stop the perp, things won't just look bad for Detroit; you'll never have your happy ending.
