“Do you want to look together?” Ilya suggested as he picked up two tests. Shane gave him a hesitant nod, and that's all Ilya needed to come over by his side. Ilya handed him one of the tests and noticed a slight tremble in his husband's hand. “Shane, look at me.” Shane's eyes lingered on the test in his hand before looking at Ilya. Ilya cupped Shane's cheek, his thumb gliding over his gorgeous freckles. “No matter what this says, it will be okay. We do this together on three.”
Shane gave his husband a simple nod. “Okay.”
“One…two” Ilya started to count down. “Three.” His voice cracked slightly at the final number. Turning over the pregnancy test he saw two very visible and very defined pink lines. He looked at Shane's test, seeing the same results.
Shane stood there, blinking at the results only for a moment. He went over to the counter, Ilya at his side as he turned over the rest of the pregnancy tests. All of them with two undeniable pink lines. Positive. Shane was pregnant.
