I am not really a writer, so this isn't very good! I really wanted to write a tgm fic though, and this idea came to me a couple days ago. Is this realistic? Not at all! But to be fair, this is a world where a man with no lips somehow receives kisses from multiple women, so I say anything goes.

Short version: an AU where Tommy Merlyn didn't die, and is around for season 2 of Arrow.
Long version:
Tommy Merlyn has spent most of his life being an expensive disappointment to his family, but now he's a part-owner of a semi-successful nightclub in the worst area of town (it's seriously looking up) alongside his best friend, who — after five years on a deserted island — decided to come back to be a freaking vigilante. It's a long story, one that's longer than Tommy wants to remember, but it took the Glades collapsing and the death of one of their best friends to get him officially done with being a troublemaker. Nothing interesting. Just running a nightclub, and trying not to get into any trouble.Oliver's been gone god knows where for most of the summer, which means he's stuck being the big brother to the guy's snarky little sister, whose boyfriend "Ron" seems completely set on getting himself killed. An afternoon of test-driving Verdant's new cocktails gets interesting when Felicity Smoak and John Diggle show up asking (more) questions about where to find Oliver, and Tommy has to decide whether he wants to keep his new rule.

Summary
Orpheus moves to a big city to be a part of the connection he feels between other people. He doesn't expect to fall in love with the people he meets and sees on a daily basis. He certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with the girl who watches him play every day in the metro station, before he even learns her name.
When she gets a hold of his song book and he follows her through a complicated twist of clues and games to get it back, he realizes he may indeed be destined for the kind of love he feared he'd never had.
The only question is will she follow him when it's he who's uncertain of where he stands?
Very loosely based on the musical adaptation of Amélie.

AU. Orpheus and Eurydice are apartment neighbors; she moved in first, then him, the floor above her, and she gets into the habit of listening to him play through the ceiling. Their schedules don't line up well enough to cross paths--she doesn't actually see or talk to him until five months later.
Hermes runs the bar across the street and the Fates are street vendors in the same spot; watching Orpheus and Eurydice out on their balconies becomes their entertainment. Hades owns the building with his wife, Persephone.
