-more outgoing ren! he’s the failboy of the century and EVERYONE knows it
-the thing that really strikes me about this fic is like. these ppl sound like they’re real (albeit mildly social media obsessed) people who lead like. actual lives. in turn, they have opinions! that i, personally, don’t always agree with! at times they’re immature, petty, defensive, and straight up wrong about things But they’re Nuanced. they are more than ‘i’m a young adult…. with a secret! and sometimes i go waaaaah waaaah waaaaaaaahhh’ and more ‘you have an opinion that i don’t necessarily agree with. BUT i understand why you have that opinion and that it makes you feel these emotions. you are a person i respect and i think your thoughts are valid, even if i disagree with them at this time.”
-early on admits to black (akechi) apologist behavior and follows through. i think that this is a WONDERFUL choice.
-mona is just a cat. ren has a wholesome acc dedicated to him, but he hold essentially no importance to the story

-tbh. while playing the game i did NOT follow anything featherman so i can’t super say i understand or recognize how accurate to lore that stuff is in this, and it was difficult pairing up the featherman colors to characters (besides red=ren/akira, black=crow) but you can pretty easily simply appreciate the depth gleamed from how the characters talk about them. rlly does sound like fandom!!!!they are freaks your honor this is SO worth a read

Trouble never seemed far off when Childe was around. For the most part, Lumine didn't mind that. Kept things interesting, for sure. Usually, their mutual brand of mayhem looked like epic battles against hilichurls and eldritch horrors from Abyss. But the moment Childe sheepishly croaked out "my parents think we're dating," Lumine just knew that they had stumbled head first into a new form of danger. Sadly, this one wasn't one they could stab their way out of.
Though frankly if this fake dating thing didn't go well, Lumine wasn't above trying it.
