Charlie’s brow crinkled. “You’re not coming down with something are you? I know you haven’t been sleeping well.”
In truth, Nick wasn’t sure. He did feel ill, in a sort of ambiguous way. But he could tell when he had a cold or flu coming on, and this wasn’t it. “Don’t think so,” he said. Might as well give his immune system the benefit of the doubt. “I’m probably just crashing after exams.”
Nick puts on a brave face at the bonfire, but he’s feeling worse than he’s letting on. Charlie worries, because he’s Charlie.
