Seonghwa had a normal, boring life in his small town. He appreciated the peace and beauty but always wondered if there was more outside of the confines he was restricted to.

He was familiar with the Jedi Code and what was expected of him, but he wasn’t ready for the feelings he developed for a particularly alluring fellow Padawan. Attachments being forbidden, Hongjoong left the Jedi Temple and fled to the Underworld of Coruscant. But he made a promise to Seonghwa - a promise to be there for him anytime he needed release, with the guarantee that it would mean nothing to either of them. Living without attachments seems like a simple concept, but in practice, it's torture.

And maybe it's a bit crazy to be developing a tiny crush on the guy he just met not even twenty-four hours ago, but sue him, Seonghwa is beautiful and his kid is adorable and Hongjoong has been alone for so long.
“What are you thinking about?” Seonghwa asks after a while of comfortable silence, curiosity written over his features.
Hongjoong stares out at the water, at the way the stars touch the sea. “I don't really know,” Hongjoong says, and it's not quite a lie. He really doesn't know how to explain what's going on in his mind, and his thought processes freeze when he looks at Seonghwa anyway. “Do you think we should head back?”
Seonghwa chews his lower lip for a moment before shaking his head. “Let's stay here a little longer.”
Hongjoong doesn't question it or protest. When Seonghwa’s hand finds his under the water, he sends a thank you to the constellations above him.

(Or, Hongjoong is rarely home to do laundry because he’s always in the studio. The few times he’s able to do laundry, he finds himself in the laundry room wearing absolute bottom of the barrel clothing. Which is, of course, when he meets a pretty stranger who looks like a model. Good thing Seonghwa thinks Hongjoong is kind of adorable.)

His breath hitched and he traced the words with a finger that felt a little shaky. They were beautiful, so fitting for his day and touching. He looked at them in amazement, wondering who it was that kept thinking such lovely things about him.
Or, the one where your soulmates' thoughts about you show up on your skin and it's all fun and games until Hongjoong shows Seonghwa a new song that he wrote and the lyrics sound very familiar to him because he's seen them before, when they appeared on his skin.
