The room was empty. Or rather, the room was exactly as they had left it—bed made, bags on the floor, equipment stacked neatly on the desk. But the bed was different. The covers were rumpled, disturbed, as if someone had been rolling around on them. And in the center of the mattress, arranged carefully in a heart shape, were the jasmine flowers that Dylan had thrown away.
Also, their bags had been unpacked. Their clothes were folded together in the dresser drawers, alternating—Dylan's black shirts, Jun's linen ones, Dylan and Jun's boxer briefs.
"Okay," Dylan said, his voice coming out slightly higher than he would have liked. "That's... that's invasive."
"That's adorable," Jun corrected, but he looked unsettled too, the humor not quite reaching his eyes. "The house is... matchmaking?"
"The house is a pervert."Or: Jun and Dylan are sent to investigate a haunted house for fourteen days. The house, unfortunately, is less interested in killing them than it is in getting them to admit they have feelings for each other. But something else has been observing from a distance.

Summary
Nach einer seltsam undefinierbaren "Enemies to Lovers"-Romanze zwischen Bob und Skinny herrscht zwischen den beiden seit einer Weile Funkstille. Da erhalten die drei Fragezeichen den anonymen Auftrag, Skinny ausfindig zu machen.
Natürlich bringen sich die drei Detektive (besonders Bob unter seinem alten Alias Stan Silver) schnell in größere Schwierigkeiten als sie je hätten ahnen können. Wohin Skinny verschwunden ist, was hinter seinem merkwürdigen Verhalten steckt und wer der anonyme Auftraggeber ist, zeigt sich nur nach einigen harten Feuerproben.
Ob Skinny es endlich schafft, seinem kriminellen Leben den Rücken zu kehren? Oder ist die Versuchung zu groß, in alte Muster zurückzufallen?
Mittendrin: Justus "Aroace" Jonas, der sich einfach nur freut, mal wieder einen spannenden Fall zu haben. Peter "Gay Panic" Shaw, der wegen Bob ständig Stress mit Jeffrey hat. Bob "Hot Mess" Andrews, der GANZ SICHER nicht verliebt ist. Skinny "Der Profi" Norris, der alles kann außer über Gefühle reden. Und natürlich Inspektor Cotta, der immer mehr Probleme damit hat, zu verhindern, dass seine Schützlinge abkratzen. Natürlich gibt es auch Kirschkuchen auf dem Schrottplatz, ich bin ja kein Unmensch!
