Bokuto began very pointedly trying to look busy, picking up his phone which was completely off, and Atsumu understood why, as the man with the white hair brushed past him. He was able to catch a glimpse of him, and the poor guy looked absolutely wrecked.

The truth of the matter is, Kaveh has no idea how to read Alhaitham. He prides himself on being an expert at understanding people, his empathetic heart lending him the capacity to relate deeply with those around him (oftentimes to his detriment). But with Alhaitham, there is nothing for him to read; no clues from his cool expression for him to grasp. The man appears stoic all the time even during their petty bickering.
Honestly, when was the last time Kaveh has seen the man do anything except smirk or frown? Does Alhaitham feel happiness? Has he ever seen the man laugh?
Kaveh's mind is drawing a blank on the latter and it...bothers him deeply.

THIS. I'm so serious. This is incredible. I am gagged. PLEASE for the love of joy and angst and grossness and more joy READ THIS.First of all, the writing is insane. One of the most well-written things I've read, and it's horror-y and kind of disgusting, so that is especially hard to do. I ADORE angst and vivid descriptions and insanity, and this PERFECTLY captures that.
Then, the pining. Okay. The pining. They are so obviously in love with each other but Kim Dokja's scared and Yoo Joonghyuk is just so utterly whipped but in the most subtle-obvious way. I can't describe you just have to read it IT'S SO GOOD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Last, the ending. It is so heartwarming and sweet and the perfect recovery from the rest of the fic I cannot this is so good the ending RAHHHHHHhh anyway READ THIS READ THIS READ THIS 100% READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!

When he wakes up again, it’s to a whole group of people, most of which are noisy and loud.
He lies there in the soft blanket for a minute, taking in the details of a hospital room, and noting the IV going into the crook of his elbow. He attempts to sit up, wincing when it pulls at the mess of his chest.
There’s an odd weight on one of his legs, and there’s a fluffy...creature resting on it, curled into his side. It’s warm.
The room goes quiet all of a sudden, and he finds himself staring back at an odd assortment of people.
