Kaveh glances down at what must be some notes on the podium, pausing before he looks back up, shining in the bright lights of the stage.
“But in recent years, I must admit that my focus has shifted.”
Alhaitham leans forward, watching, hoping for something he can't quite admit. Not when the truth is that he’s never known how to say that he is hungry without fear that people will see the truth that he is starving.

An odd research submission begins paving the way to a dangerous inclination bordering on obsession. In a wholly illogical sense, the lingering obsession focuses on his roommate.
A visceral string of events begins, with a temple devoted to the deceased Goddess of Flowers being the epicenter.

Alhaitham started to show signs of forgetfulness. It wasn’t just misplacing something, but sometimes, Alhaitham wouldn’t remember he’d said or done something and ask about it later. It was like there were gaps in his memories. One day, Alhaitham woke up and started acting completely differently, overtaken by his Shadow. Kaveh now must make a trip to Alhaitham's subconscious to get him back.

"I fought you with my bare hands," Lyney growled, brow furrowed. Father's expression remained neutral, only serving to fuel his anger. "I was able to fight you for almost two whole minutes, barely even using my Vision, and that means nothing to you?"
Father is not one to tell her children she is proud of them. Her children are convinced the word "proud" is not in her vocabulary. Lyney is determined to coax it out of her. He begs her to spar with him, even though he knows he will lose. He's improved since last time she witnessed him in action, and he's desperate to show it to her.
Father accepts his offer to spar, and Lyney expects her to use those words once she's seen what he's capable of. "I'm proud of you."
How stupid he was to expect anything like that of her.
