Unfortunately for Grian, one of the newest Hermits was also a player on his old server - one he'd thought had been dead for years - and she's going to drag his backstory kicking and screaming into the light whether she means to or not.

Summary
It was as if lava had poured down their bond. Both Tommy and Wilbur went down with a scream, desperately trying to cut their bond, but it was too late.
By the time the lava cooled, and all the hunters were taken down, there was no magic to be called upon. As if the lave had turned to bedrock right in their core. As if all of their magic was hidden away behind unbreakable stone.
“Tommy,” Wilbur had gritted, jaw tight and eyes hard with anger. “What did you do?”
Bad luck, the card had said. Bad luck.
Tommy hadn’t proved himself. Tommy had embarrassed himself, Tommy had ruined Wilbur’s magic.
And it was all Tommy's fault.

He had one rule of not allowing himself to get attached to people but he would have never guessed that a foster family of the creator of Minecraft, an anime stan and a Soundcloud musician would break that rule.

Tommy didn’t look at his neck, and Dream must know that because he grabbed his jaw with a firm grip, titling his head to reveal his worst fear.
“Isn’t it lovely, my dear Theseus?” Dream cooed at him, an ugly smile tugging at his lips.
Tommy took one look at the burnt flesh on his upper neck, at the smiley face that Dream branded into his skin like he was some fucking animal and immediately felt sick, his stomach churning as he lost all air in his lungs.
“Why the fuck would you do that—“ Tommy exclaimed as he tried to pry Dream’s hands off of his face, but Dreams grip was so tight, too tight, his fingers digging into his jaw—
“So everyone knows who you belong too.” Dream whispered in an amused tone, letting go of his face as he ran a finger down his cheek, sending shivers down Tommy’s back.
(… or Dream kidnaps Tommy and trains him to become an assassin, until Tommy escapes one day and encounters this random ass dude with pink hair.)

I’m so confused so like we’re they like trapped somewhere and being hurt?? We’re they trapped because of his moms wings?? Or because they could? Is his mothers human?? Did they cut off the wings?? Did the stab the wings? Did they step on them? What did they do?? Where were they? We’re they in the hospital when that happened? Was it the jshlatt and Tina who did it? Was the hospital bad? Are shlatt and Tina bad? Good? Neither? Both?
What is Tommy? Why can he hear fabric? Is he a hybrid? Is he human with magic? Is he something else with magic? Is he just something? Is Wilbur actually human? Yeah probably. Why is Tommy possessive of his designs that he makes? Why can he dress other people but not himself?
