He’s never seen her before; he’d have recognized hair that particular shade of cornsilk if he had. She’s sprawled out in a quieter part of the house, pale eyelids fluttering, white dress hucked up against her hips, a red solo cup next to her, the neon green droplets of the house jungle juice belying what he was guessing was an inexperience with alcohol.
It doesn’t help that she barely looks 18, if that.
Before he can second guess himself, Halbrand reaches down, perusing her person for a phone. Wallet. Something —.
What he finds, instead, is a small pocket knife in the pocket of her dress, but nothing to give him any indication of who this girl is and who she belongs to. Certainly nothing to explain how it was she made it into the party to begin with. He can feel the wolves stirring in his head, of two minds with what to do to this silly little interloper, this fair creature who came to party with the monsters of Mu Omega Rho.
Far be it from him to teach her that lesson all little girls need to know: actions have consequences.

What is the plot of this fic? The plot is Draco Malfoy having a terrible fucking time and never being able to catch a break. It will begin fifth year and take you through his journey of being a death eater, the Battle of Hogwarts and post-war. It will loosely follow some canon events but timelines and dates may not be identical. The story itself is one big what if. What if Draco and Hermione started dating before he became a death eater? What if Draco had been present for certain events during the horcrux hunt? What if the war ended this way and these certain people were lost? The characters and story are in no way meant to be canon but instead, an exploration into other possible characterizations of them.
It's also wise to remember, this is entirely from Draco's point of view. Who is to say that he's a reliable narrator?
