Robert considered himself to be a man who made a reasonable amount of mistakes. He didn’t make them all the time, but he didn't avoid them all the time either. He'd been sure his whole life that saying the words “I'm Mecha Man” would be a mistake. He'd never expected to say it to a group, much less a group of ex-supervillains. Even so, here he was. The words left his lips numb, his heart skipping a beat even as he kept his expression level. And then the words were out, and he felt relief. A weight came off his chest until he looked to his left. To burning red eyes and a clenched jaw. The weight on his chest was gone, only to be replaced with a pit in his stomach as he realized in full how badly he'd fucked up.

Maybe even too supportive, likely trying to get them together more often, possibly even having them attend to different matters rather than their sworn duties.
One day, a letter arrives for the Wolf Captain, inviting him to the faraway land where his lover resides. Who was he to deny an invitation? One problem, he has to get the travel approved, and he only has one day to do it. The distance that separated the two kingdoms was long and required time, time he couldn't afford to lose.

Dark Choco glared the man down before he noticed the portrait hanging just above the man's head and everything felt like it had frozen in that moment as his face fell just as he looked to the portrait then back at the man with his hand shaking while holding up the sword when the realization that dawned on him, "Father?" the words felt foreign on his tongue yet so familiar at the same time as they left the young prince mouth while he lowered his weapon from the older warrior's throat.
Or Dark Cacao comes back with the milk and Dark Choco gets a hug from his dad!

When Robin appears in Kilima out of thin air, he decides Hassian is his friend, the hunter just doesn't know it yet. The two grow closer, and realize "friend" isn't the only thing they want to be. Also they both have some emotional issues to resolve, and it turns out they’re good for each other.
That's it, that's the plot.
As a man with a massive crush on this edgy hermit, I realized I wanted more stories about Hassian with a male player character, so I decided to do it myself. This is a little passion project I've been working on for months. Not much of a plot, more a series of vignettes and conversations focused on the two characters and their developing relationship, based on the in-game interactions. Slow burn (and by slow I mean I've written almost 300 pages so far and they don't start having feelings until about page 70) because I adore the in-game friendship arc.
