Summary
Halbrand, heir to the throne of the Southlands, finds himself stranded in the middle of the ocean with only the old man Diarmid for a friend. Our friends observe and draw the wrong (or right?) conclusions. And the rumor mill has a life of its own. Meanwhile our heroes try to come to terms with their feelings. Set around the foundation of Imladris after the siege of Eregion.
Yes, I know canon, but hey, this is fanfiction! Even before TRoP I was fascinated by the deep bond between these two and I didn’t even understand the lack of fanfiction about Elrond and Galadriel. Then season 2 of TRoP made me fall in love with them and ever since ep 7 this plot bunny just didn’t stop bugging me! I mean, does anyone really believe that Vorohil was so noble and discreet that he didn’t tell anyone about The Kiss???
I hope you’ll like this as much as I liked writing it. English is not my first language so please be kind - all mistakes are mine.

Galadriel never learns that Halbrand is Sauron and Sauron fully embraces the identity of Halbrand. He thinks maybe it wasn’t just the mithril he was missing in his previous endeavours but her, so he decides to align his goals with hers. He intends to use his knowledge and power and the position she gave him to help her fulfil her purpose. At least the broader one, not the killing him one.
Basically, he gives her everything he promised on the raft, but they never actually had the conversation, so he never told her his plan and she never turned him down.
She’s not an idiot though and he knows this so it will still come to head at some point.First chapter is Saurons POV deciding to go all in on team Galadriel. Most of the rest is Galadriel POV, with a bit of Elrond thrown in for sass.
