Summary
Nadir’s body of work has been examined before—and in much broader and deeper contexts than this blog!—most notably in 24 Hours to Live, the collection of essays edited by Rachel Baxter, and his own What I Thought About the Movies I Made: The Abed Nadir Story—but for those of you already saying tl;dr, here’s an abbreviated summation of how auteur theory lets us realize the true brilliance of Nadir’s filmmaking.

Summary
In which Molly Hooper gets a job, gets a degree, breaks a heart, has her heart broken, falls in love, keeps a secret, saves a life, runs a morgue, falls apart, pulls it together, and finds exactly what she didn't know she was looking for--not necessarily in that order.

Summary
Marching toward the bathroom down the hall, trying to stifle the flow as best as she can, Ellie furiously waves Molly away to imply i'm okay, leave me alone, because she can handle it. She’s got it handled. But, level-headed and never turning down an opportunity to stick to the rules, Molly speaks into the microphone tucked into her jacket cuff, and one set of footsteps in the hall turns into two.
“This is Molly. Beacon’s out of the classroom headed down the eastern side. I’m covering her.”

Summary
A long time ago, Henry Jenkins wrote an article that had a line in it that got deservedly famous in fandom. He said, of Kirk and Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, that slash is what happens when you take away the glass. And even though that article is mostly obsolete nowadays, that line still resonates with me. So I made a vid about it.
