This was the fourth night in a row that Bandit had noticed his wife’s absence. If she wanted his input on whatever it was preoccupying her this late at night, she would have asked him about it by now—in the morning, of course. But Bandit couldn’t shake the idea that he needed to check in on her sooner rather than later. It was the very same feeling that had caused him to so insistently check in on Bluey and Bingo as babies. Even if nothing was wrong at all, he still needed to be assured otherwise.
Bandit has a late night parenting check in with Chilli, who has a lot more on her mind than Bandit bargained for. A mild hurt/comfort fic about supportive parents. Originally created for the fanzine "Head Over Heelers: A Bluey Fanzine".

"It's time. This is it. This is really happening!" Kit thinks as she sinks down on bended knee, ring in hand while Jade is looking skyward at the colored fireworks exploding and flashing in brilliant patterns across the black backdrop of the evening sky that Kit can see reflecting in the shimmering of Jade's honey-dipped hazel eyes. It's perfect. Everything is just perfect.
It's right at that very moment that the car appears out of nowhere and ploughs into them leaving Kit fighting for her life and Jade fighting for Kit.
