Summary

Summary
Post-civil war Daibazaal is 19 years out from the start of reconstruction, and there was still a long way to go. The country had been overthrown by a rebel operation with the assistance of Crown Princess Krolia Akira. When her parents were assassinated, she took the throne and began to work on reforming the country, undoing a lot of the effects that her father's dictatorship had on the country. 19 years after she takes the throne, the country is still in the depths of recovery. To bring the country together and hopefully boost morale, Queen Krolia hosts a Selection for her eighteen-year-old daughter, Kendra Kogane. 35 randomly Selected girls from each province of Daibazaal would come to the palace and vie for Princess Kendra's hand in marriage.
Lilliana McClain receives a letter in the mail informing her of this event, inviting her to apply. She doesn't originally plan on applying, but when she does she doesn't expect actually being Selected. Surely enough, two weeks after putting her application in, she's on a train to the palace. Lilliana discovers that the princess is a lot different than she expected, and maybe she could see herself marrying into royalty, if only she didn't have her heart set elsewhere.
