Summary
Just their luck: Garak and Bashir are stranded together on an uninhabited alien planet. Over months, a mission for survival and a need to share body heat on chilly nights evolves into comfortable domesticity, with physical contact given and received whenever craved. But all perfect things must of course be ruined: their rescue team arrives. Only then do Garak and Bashir realise how intimate they’ve become without realising, and suddenly their shared urge to show gratuitous affection seems inappropriate as friends. But they can’t give it all up, now... can they?

Surprisingly loved this. VERY Kent-centric, almost didn't feel like it was Bitty he was with sometimes (which I guess worked for my messed-up mind, because Bitty shouldn't be with Kent), but it also really worked to have it be Bitty, because they just, share a lot in certain respects.

Read this to get the shmoopy fluff feels and squee at how they LITERALLY SET UP THE SAME SCENARIO IN TFA AS IN ANH. Are you listening, screenwriters, because holy crap how did this happen unintentionally??? (Unless it was intentional, fufufu.)
