Summary
They look as lovely as he remembers, if not more so, frozen in that moment. The sun doesn’t reach far into the dim shed, which smells of dust and earth and slug grease, but the two will be immortalized for him like this in his memory, all shaded by pink spring shadows.
Love can be a lot of things. It's different for George, Sapnap, and Dream, and yet they all love each other.

Summary
Dream isn’t a good person. He finds great pleasure in breaking people’s hearts, in driving people away, in burning them beyond the point of no return and leaving tears and ash in his wake. He’d like to blame it on his childhood, or his friends, or something beyond his control, but he knows he has no one to blame but himself.
When George comes along, he should be no different.
Should be.
As it turns out, it’s hard to break someone who doesn’t mind being broken. It’s even harder when Dream realizes that George is probably just as bad of a person as he is, if not worse.
When one toxic person finds another, the results are nothing short of explosive.

He knows this, and he’s known for the past month that his gender isn’t what he thought it was. He’s not obligated to put a label on it, to clearly define it. In Dream’s eyes, he’s happy. He’s got a solid career, a bunch of friends, and the world within his hands. He’s content.
Well, at least they should be.
As the month stretches on, with one of their best friends closer to his side than ever, Dream finds themselves even further away than before the year began. With the spring beginning to bloom, it turns out the foundation of their structure they’ve worked so hard on is just a thin, wilting house of cards.
From here ensues miscommunication, impulsive purchases, one-sided loneliness, and the product of having no one but yourself for years on end.
The distance has never felt so long.

It's funny how sometimes we say things are just fine when really they mean more. George does that. He didn't even realize pronouns mattered to him until someone asked. Then it just clicked and there was no turning back.
And coming out is scary, its being vulnerable in a way that's new. George does not like to be vulnerable.
Even when there's feelings involved.
Or: George likes Dream, he just doesn't know it yet. He's nonbinary too, but he's not ready for that.

But, alas, he’s neither of those things. So instead, he smirks like an asshole and watches as George’s body twitches helplessly on the ground as if trying to wriggle out.
