He had only heard tales of sirens and mermaids, and had never seen one in his year at sea. His first instinct should have been to kill it, but as he gazed deep into the creature’s eyes, the whites replaced by a faint purple, he saw the same desperation, the same longing to live he used to see when he looked in the mirror. The siren was so morbid, his body bruised dark shades and features sunken in - but he was also breathtaking. Doyoung wanted to know his story.

“Well, if you’re going to ignore me at least it’s for someone of a higher rank. Not that I’m forgiving you but I understand.” Chenle sighs in pretense, going as far as to fist the material of her jersey right over her heart to convey just how hurt she is. “It’s always the flashy strikers, never the dependable, sweet and very cute, might I add, goalkeepers-”
“Chenle, shut up!” Jisung’s voice is high pitched and sounds mortified, his sides as red as a tomato. Chenle gives Jisung a look before she licks the palm of his hand, which the other had used to silence her. “Eww, what is wrong with you?” his whines make Chenle burst into a fit of laughter, almost doubling over onto the ground.

The year is 2999 and he's been here for twenty of those, but Jaemin has never gotten used to the city that never sleeps — once he's on the ground again, pulling the coat tighter around himself, he looks up at the skyscrapers shining in green, red and blue for eternity. In a sense, everything around here is like this; once the sunlight is gone, everybody's bound to be a little pink, illuminated by LED screens and neon lights, and Jaemin thinks he likes it like this.
Alternatively: when intergalactically famous Mark Lee appeared into his life, Jaemin never thought he'd survive the crash — not that that stopped him from stepping down the pedal harder.

Street racing — the concept of it, at least — relies on speed and godless defiance of reasonable physics. The colours are secondary, but every racer wants a motif. Something people will point at and say, ‘look. I know that design. I know who this is.’ And Jeno… Jeno is in Tokyo, falling through the cracks of a failed art degree, and who can blame him, when he crash lands on the very asphalt that creates Tokyo’s burnt rubber nervous system.
(In which Na Jaemin is Japan's best racer and Jeno happens to specialise in making art for cars. It should, really, go downhill from there, but Jaemin is nothing if not persistent).
