Summary
Around two years had passed since the collapse of the Metaverse and Masayoshi Shido’s earning of a far kinder sentence than he deserved, in Goro Akechi’s opinion anyway. Goro had long since abandoned his life of dealing death, trying to awkwardly settle into a new, normal one with the wild card dealt to him by the gods named Akira Kurusu.
All seemed well. Neat, bland, and practically average except for Akira himself, whom Goro had no clue what to do with.
Then one night Akira was abducted, and Goro quickly realized he’d give up a normal life and play one more twisted game just to get his Joker back.

And sure as shit, Goro fucking Akechi was walking towards the school, trailing just a step behind Sae Niijima. Funnily enough, Akira wouldn’t have believed that it was Akechi, if not for the eye contact he was holding with him; the very intense eye contact with him. Akira couldn’t help but wink at him. What! It would be fine, Akira was the only one who remembered the events that were to play out in a few months, and surely Akechi would just think of him as another one of his fans. But that oh-so familiar flash of searing anger tore its way across Akechi's face, the flash that he'd never been able to hide, the flash that made itself known every time Akira decided to be dumb, or reckless, or just outright self-sacrificial.

Midoriya Izuku was a quirkless kid, everyone knew. What no one did, not even the boy himself, was that years weren’t half as short, that the time he experienced was half of what it should be, because he did have a quirk, just very inconvenient.
His mother didn't pay much mind, calling his shift of demeanor, as subtle as it was, just a mood swing. And it really was like that, the two Midoriya Izuku’s in the single body were practically the same, it wasn’t until a single phrase was said that something changed.
“I don’t believe you can be a hero.”
One Izuku, the original, was heartbroken but still saved, still fought.
Second Izuku was taken aback by the words spoken to him, anger fueling his body as he repeated in his mind.“With my power, you too can be a hero.”
I DON’T WANT YOUR POWER, ALL MIGHT!
Meanwhile, a sobbing form said yes.
