“Perhaps not,” Magneto hums, unbothered as Logan approaches. He holds the file out for him. “But I can prevent the men that put those bullets in your skull from giving them any more company.”
Logan grits his teeth until his jaw aches. “The fuck are you on about, old man?”
Magneto glances briefly at Mystique. “You don’t know?”or;
Magneto rips those stupid bullets from Logan’s head and it inadvertently brings Logan’s memories back.

Jean and Charles try to help, but it’s Marie who reaches him with quiet empathy. After a nightmare leaves him wounded and frozen in fear, Jean enters his mind again- Logan finally lets someone stay.

~ Heaps of metal, bunched wires and the glint of tools passed from room to room. A diagram of two human bodies - hauntingly large, taped to a chalkboard at the corners - was wheeled in by the door. The others watched intently as the doctor pointed to every tendon of significance. The muscular half of the diagram stared with unmoving eyes. A bright yellow pin would pierce the paper and the witnesses would nod. The doctor lifted a pen. With steady hands, he drew three thin lines onto the wrists of the skeleton: claws. The skeletal half of the diagram didn't bother staring. It had nothing left to see.
( This is my personal rewrite of Logan's experience as weapon-x and how he escaped, based on the 1993 comic called 'Weapon-X.' )

Logan had just escaped after the Adamantium and the whole plot of Wolverine: Origins and is now living in the forest with no memory of what he once was. He is living there to escape the world - to escape humanity as he feels more animal than human now and knows nothing else. He has a peaceful life in the woods - isolated from the whole world. That is until Charles Xavier sends his X-Men to find a feral mutant living in the woods, they just want to help - but Logan has never gotten help before and doesn't know how to accept it.
