Summary
Dazai looked again at the reflection: hollow cheeks, bruised-looking eyes, collarbones too sharp, limbs too narrow to pass for anything healthy. Not beautiful. Not masculine. Not feminine. Just wrong. A body that refused to disappear but refused to feel alive. A body he maintained like a crime scene, because that’s what it was— taped off, segmented, handled indirectly.
or: Dazai’s body has never felt like his own—too sharp, too empty, too present. He starves it, ignores it, punishes it; it betrays him anyway.
Chuuya tries to touch him, Odasaku tries to feed him, Mori tries to control him. None of it helps.
A mosaic of vignettes about hunger, shame, and the quiet violence of living in a body you don’t want.BSD Dead Dove Week 2026 - Day two - Eating Disorders, “It doesn’t hurt. That’s the strange part.”, Sadism/Masochism

Summary
They had rules. Not spoken ones—spoken rules were too easy to weaponize. Their rules lived in habits.
One of those habits was: Chuuya didn’t assume. Not about touch. Not about sex. Not about affection.
Dazai was… complicated. He wasn’t someone who wanted in a simple way. Want, for him, was a thing that came with hooks and history and a thousand reasons to flinch. Sometimes he did want. Sometimes he wanted with an intensity that made Chuuya’s hands shake, because it wasn’t casual. It wasn’t a distraction. It was Dazai letting him in.
And sometimes Dazai didn’t want anything at all, and the difference was subtle—so subtle that in the beginning Chuuya had missed it and hated himself for it afterward.
or: Chuuya learns Dazai in the ways that matter—when to pull, when to hold, when to let him drift—and Dazai, in return, keeps choosing him. Some nights it’s heat, some nights it’s just staying. Either way, it’s still them.

Summary
“Breathe,” Chuuya says. “This is gonna hurt like a bitch.”
Dazai’s lips twitch. “Doesn’t Chuuya have anything for me to bite on?”
Chuuya pauses despite himself. “…I thought that,” he starts, then stops. He clears his throat, eyes flicking briefly to the floor before coming back to Dazai’s face. “Because of Dostoyevsky. I thought maybe—”
Dazai waves one hand dismissively, the motion weak but sharp with irritation. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that holier-than-thou demon’s been leaving me gagged for days, you think I wouldn’t want anything in my mouth.”
He grins when he says it. It’s a perfect imitation—angle of the mouth, familiar lilt—but his eyes are flat, glassy in a way that has nothing to do with humor. “I don’t,” he adds. Then, after a beat: “I also don’t want Chuuya to hear me scream.”
or: dazai gets kidnapped and tortured. chuuya gets him back, and realizes that care is just another kind of exposure. the kiss might be a mistake. or it might not. it’s also inevitable.

Summary
He never says it out loud. He doesn’t have to. Oda figures it out the way anyone would, if they were paying attention—the way Dazai flinches when touched, the way he shrugs off pain, the way he talks about Mori locking up the medication.
