“When I arrived in my hall, there were three newly dead jötnar present, killed trying to take back the Casket of Ancient Winters. They asked me to tell King Laufey what had happened.”
“Stupid question, but how’d she take it?” Clint asked.
“She was pissed.” Hel gave him a half-smile. “But, you know, kind of proud they tried.”Hel would have been grudgingly accepted on Jötunheim simply for the sake of her mother, Angrboða, who had been half-jötunn when she lived and was an honored denizen of Helheim in death. But Hel wasn’t just part-jötunn; she was also the only ruler of one of the three realms of the dead who would let the Jötnar pass through her gates – Odin controlled Valhalla and wouldn’t dream of having a jötunn in those storied halls, and Freyja of the Vanir had a longstanding and potent grudge against the Jötnar that kept her from opening Fólkvangr to their dead – so she wasn’t merely accepted, she was welcomed. And when King Laufey and her consort Fárbauti learned that Hel had her own longstanding and potent grudge against the Æsir for all that they’d done to her family, well. It wasn’t long before they’d agreed to an alliance and a formal peace treaty between their two realms, and Laufey and Fárbauti’s sons Býleistr and Helblindi had all but adopted her as unofficial uncles.
“That’s why Laufey’s pissed,” Hel said. “Dad’s the God of Mischief, not a sociopath. I don’t think he’d set up jötnar to get killed for shits and giggles. Sure, Granddad Ás-hole and the rest of the House of Odin hate the Jötnar, but Dad married Mom, and Mom was half jötunn. This doesn’t seem right to me.”
“Does any part of that side of your family seem right?” Clint joked.
“I look forward to the day when they’re all standing around, thinking Ragnarök’s gonna come down on their heads like an avalanche, and we’ll be on vacation in Tahiti or someplace, kicking back and doing terrible, monstrous things like enjoying free wifi and mixed drinks,” Hel said. “Sorry, can’t end the world today, too busy enjoying it. Rain check?”
“Your dad would be proud,” Clint said.Hel beamed.

‘ So, I should only flirt with younger men, note taken. ’ Cocidius growled and halted in his path, since he was so close if Harry hadn’t been careful enough, he would have tripped and landed face first into the pavement. ‘ I flirt so that I am underestimated, Cocidius. All they see is a pretty face, someone they think they can overpower. Only to find themselves…. ’
Cocidius finished the sentence for him, ‘ close enough to the edge of the water, so that you can sink your teeth into them and drag them into the water and rip them apart. ’ Harry chuckled at Cocidius’ morbidity, ‘ I wouldn’t exactly put it like that, but yes. ’
‘ Are you secretly a siren? ’ Harry laughed but denied having any creature blood in him.
Cocidius then clicked in contentment, ‘ I’m a good influence on you then. ’His reading was interrupted by a choking sound; he looked up to see Avery clearing his airway. “What a pleasant way to start your day Avery, do choke more quietly.”
I was quite waiting for pow-wow with Gellert and possible Dumbledore as well but-

Overall nice fic but with v poorly executed exposition (too direct&heavy in dialogue)
Has interesting format which uses a/n as part of the story“I wasn’t a Jedi in the end... I wasn’t a Sith... a chose something different. I decided to be a guardian of the force not a pusher for either side in some ways. More of a grey maybe? A mixture... I saw so much more clearly once I decided that. I felt more energy surge through me. I hear and see so much now...”
Rey: She sent a second messege. To General Hux, using Kylo Ren’s codes. A warning that Snoke wasn’t who they thought, who the Sith behind the being they feared really was. How inconsequential his beloved First Order was. Who was loyal to the Emperor. To evacuate his people unless he wanted them to perish on his vile weapon for no reason... she included a few snippets so he knew she was trustworthy.
Hux: General Hux was still beyond perturbed that his prized weapon was destroyed, he was however thankful he and his troops were evacuated. The warning came from an unexpected source, yet... Why had the scavenger warned her enemy? How had she known anything of consequence? Why had Poe Dameron assisted in their evacuation before Starkiller blew? Armitage had much to consider...
Poe: I mean, hell... General Hux helped us! The first Order split away from their Supreme Leader. That says something, shit’s shifting...I ship Hux Poe now, ty Rey 4 making it happened
Chapter 16 ruined it for me but I shall preserve for hux. For the glory of first order!

But she didn't realise the job consists of basically being a glorified 'babysitter' (or Mischief-Minder) to Loki, who has returned to Earth with his big brother.
Needless to say, neither of them are too impressed by the situation, especially Loki, who's virtually under house-arrest and now at the mercy of a taser-happy intern.
Then the most unexpected thing happens.
The pair actually start to get along, after they are thrown together with only each other for company.This is set after Thor: Ragnarok but in an AU (we're just going to forget about all that Infinity War unpleasantness for now!)
