Phil was his name, Dan was pretty sure. Okay, well, totally sure. They didn’t wear name tags here but he had done a lot of days sitting at a table, headphones playing nothing while he listened to the staff banter. And also a bit of Instagram stalking. Not like, hardcore stalking. Just the sort of stalking where he had followed the coffee shop account, to keep an eye out for specials and closures. And also watched every single reel they ever posted and checked all the comments and looked to see who the coffee shop was following until he found the private account of a man named Phil whose profile picture had the same bleach blond hair and the same silly little tongue sticking out and Dan knew it said Phil because he had gone back and looked at it more times than he wanted to count but never, ever hit the follow request.
As far as anyone needs to know Dan hasn't noticed the cute barista at his coffee shop. But maybe the cute barista has noticed him.

Phil was fun; to game with, to chat with, and when you develop a friendship in front of that many eyes, of course they are going to start to feel connected to the friendship too.
But the fans only saw his professional relationship with Phil. They watched them six hours a day, six days a week, and they forgot that there was more to real-life-Dan than what was shared on stream. And real-life-Dan wasn’t interested in bringing his personal relationships or personal feelings onto stream.
Especially when he was worried as hell that the personal feelings were going to cross a boundary with Phil.

The joy of opening that present had been to see the plush, but even more to know that Dan had gone out of his way to get it from it, chosen specially what Phil would love the most. If he keeps it will he be able to separate his love of the toy with the pain of losing Dan? All these plushies, tied up in the memories and stories that had made their life together. This was so much harder than Phil had expected it to be.

There is one other person on this planet, likely also currently in Anaheim, California, who has a weird ass 3D shape on their ribs. One other person who may or may not know by now that they have a soulmate.
Dani never met up with Phil back in 2009, they fell out, lost contact, and never meet until VidCon 2014. But Dani's got bigger problems than an ancient crush because apparently she also met her soulmate that day, and now she has to figure out which of the hundreds of people she met it is.

Alright, well this is why medical professionals are trained to not assume anything. This poor man is scared and the last thing he needs is to worry Dan is going to be a dick about it.
Phil has some medical anxiety that brings him to the ER, where he meets NP Dan who is really trying his best.

Apologize for what? A wild pitch from a nervous rookie? "Oh, get fucked princess. There's your apology," Dani said, inching away from the base to take her lead. She saw the smirk from the side of Phil's face.
"If you're offering."
Dani couldn't help a snort at that. The batter hit a grounder through the gap and Dani took off running.
The 5 times Dani and Phil were on different teams and the one time they weren't.
