A human fell into the Underground, and began befriending every monster they came across, including the skeleton brothers. Their acts of kindness seemed to be genuine, giving the monsters no reason to distrust them... Until the human pulled a one-eighty and killed Sans when everyone least expected it.
This is the story of how Papyrus grieves over his older brother's death, and how he discovers the truth of the mysteries surrounding his seemingly lazy sibling. When all is said and done, will Papyrus ever be the same, or will this experience change his personality forever?
(Based on the AU "Disbelief Papyrus," but with an original twist. This is mainly Papyrus-centric, but it does focus on mystery of Sans during the story.)

Summary
The legend of the DELTA RUNE foretells a prophecy. It says that one day, the underground will go empty, when an angel who has seen the surface returns, and saves everyone. People in this world may become cynical, they might not be able to muster as much faith in it, they could have heard the prophecy so many times it's become meaningless. Those people, they form a sentiment in the prophecy. That it instead refers to an angel of death, and that the underground will go empty... because no one is left alive.
Now, you may have heard this story before. It's fairly widespread, and in that, allowing the angel to exist... it usually ends in a battle of ideals.
This, what I am offering you now, is a spin on that classic story. This story has always been about what you believe in. Examining what kind of emotions you cling to, the kind of emotion that may make you stake yourself on others, do things your heart isn't in. Exploring this sentiment is the purpose of this deviation, it is an experiment.
There are incredible bonds between people in this world. Sibling bonds, family ones, friends.
How much is worth clinging onto, and how much will clinging onto it hurt you? ...Well. You made your choice long ago.
